And we bet that many of our readers are eager to check out the smartphone first hand, or even go ahead and buy one. Well, they will be able to do so very soon – as soon as March of 2013 as that is when the HTC One is scheduled to launch...

All Verizon has up their sleeve is finding ways to take your money.

This is my exact issue with Verizon and why I refused th get the DNA. I guess Verizon could argue that the DNA has a bigger screen, but for me the storage capacity is more important.

SD slot is not really necessary when you have so much internal storage! What are you possibly storing on your device that you need more than 64GB of storage?

actually, not that much. however, it's a moot point, because it's not coming to verizon. my 32 GB SD card still has about 10GB free, so you're right...I think my experience with the Thunderbolt has jaded me vs HTC....

i was stoked last year when my s3 and HTC Evo 4g LTE both had support for sd cards and wasnt going to buy a phone with out a slot.

but now that a year has passed i think (for me, cant speak for anyone else) it would be easier to get a device with one large built in memory capacity, and utilize my external hard drive and my 100 bg Dropbox to sync and store info. because like Matias Duarte said. memory allocation can be confusing. did it save to my internal or external... what was that path named... and all that...

so i think im okay with the 64 gig option.

Actually, with 32GB on board, the absence of microSD card is not really a Big issue. The only problem with it is when you can't really sort out what's important and should be inside your Phone and which are not. So far, I only have less than 10GB storage in my 8X and have no problem with it. And I do put a lot of music. Only about 0.1% of all the smartphone users actually need 32GB AND SD card slot. Plus, internal storage is waaaayyyy faster.

I hope HTC can make a big come back with this device. I hope the camera can be a game changer, or at least make HTC the go-to brand for camera phone, along with Nokia.

well, so much for a new HTC phone for us verizon customers. being an owner of the Eris, Tbolt, and now the Rezound, I believe my time with HTC has run it's course. the Rezound is the only one of those three phones that I actually enjoy, and it's now been "retired" by verizon. in less than 6 months, I will be the happy owner of a Samsung product, whether it be the Note 2 or the S IV.

I get that, but it seems that they'd have better model recognition if they quit whoring out the same device with a different name on every carrier. Imagine the (lack of) success if there was an iphone V, iphone S, iphone T, and iphone A.

I don't foresee any specs on the GS4 blowing this out of the water, so I'd much rather have a solid unibody phone than just another plasticky samsung.
32gb onboard has been plenty for me with my Galaxy Nexus.

DNA? I would much rather have this than the DNA. The DNA is too freakin' big. This has front facing speakers. Its about time. Enough of the stupid trend of having the speaker face the wrong way when you're watching a video or listening to music while using the touch screen. This is very refreshing. Now, how's about a removable battery?
