HTC One already sold by one AT&T Store

0. phoneArena 12 Apr 2013, 20:54 posted on

Hear about the kid that went into the AT&T Store to check about pre-orders for the HTC One and ended up walking out of the store with the device in his hand; it might not be as funny as the joke about the duck who was sitting at the bar (put it on my bill) and in fact it might just tick off a large number of people who have to wait until next Saturday for their handset...

^^^^^ I don't care about these differences! in real world won't make a difference. Plus, all phones heat up with heavy use in long periods.

Reviews: HTC one becomes incredibly hot within minutes of playing graphics intensive games.

Metal conducts and holds heat, adding insult to injury the HTC one uses aluminium, one of most common metals used for conducting heat.

You are indeed a pathetic person.. whats with the hate to HTC? Why not just leave and buy the phone you like...oh I get it! You're mad coz you can't accept the fact that the phone you like is as ugly as sh!t....get a life

Heat conduction is a good thing otherwise the phone would melt from too much heat...

Yes aluminum conducts heat from the inside of the phone to the outside, so the phones inside gets cooler...

Plastic body just works as isolator, basically keeping most of the heat inside the phone...

And as far as I understand electronics, it is best for them to be not overheated...

The fact of the dam matter is s4 is already absolute from birth. tegra4 will crush this as well as snapdragon 800. the days of samsung being ahead with performance are long gone. Some guys cant understand that people have choices. Guy buys an htc one thats cuz its better than s4 to him thats what he likes you love your ridiculously ugly looking s4 go right ahead no one is preventing you. U samfan boys are satan want to tell ppl what to bloody buy SMH.

Snapdragon has overheating issues. Both the s4 pro and snapdragon 600 and most likely the snapdragon 800 all have to throttle the cpu because they run so damn hot. Already confirmed the One throttles after 15-20 min of heavy gaming to where you start getting lag. Just like the Nexus 4.

Qualcomm produces the coolest (literally) processors. My Note 2 runs hotter then HTC One. And aluminium is good for conducting heat. It's why Apple uses it on their MacBooks; to keep the internals cool. Besides, the while body gets a LITTLE warm evenly, not just a blistering hot spot around the camera ;)

Lucky bastard, I am contemplating leaving Verizon for Tmo, Then I can buy a developer edition One and run it, although if memory serves it runs on a band that is only available in some cities through Tmo....

It depends what bands it has, I don't know if thats official yet.

For tmo it needs like 1700,2100 and for future proof Lte

I prefer S4 for this reasons:

*Better camera (according phonearena & gsmarena)
*lightly better screen
*Sd card slot
*Removable battery
*Battery life
*Powerful powerVr gpu, much better than iPhone's 5 powerVR gpu (wooow)
*Android 4.2.2 (android update support)

better camera ? Except phonearena and gsmarena, almost all the other reviewers hailed the new Ultrapixel camera. Take a look at Anandtech or TechnoBuffalo

Pictures around the web don't lie. Pocket now thinks the camera on the One sucks too and same with the Verge. Everyone actually except the Samsung hater sites.

Anyways, I don't trust HTC at all. Got burned way too many times. Probably go Nexus 5 or optimus G2.
