HTC One X for AT&T hands-on
0. phoneArena posted on 27 Feb 2012, 10:19
Yesterday, we were fortunate enough to check out the international version of the mighty HTC One X during HTC’s press event at Mobile World Congress, but today, we’re checking out the variant that AT&T will be getting in the near future – you know, the one that...

Wow its one thing to to change the type of processor for LTE but when its an entirely different core set thats too much. Despite if it runs smooth or not you gotta admit thats a huge downgrade for data speeds you wont get.

I love the new sense but this phone is a disappointment.

For sum 1 with a HTC in u pic ur been trollin the hell out of these HTC post. The snapdragon s4 is a extreamly impressive processing unit.. and to be honest I would rather have that than the t3..

I love Htc for sense and have had their phones. Unfortunately they have not been competitive lately and its making me mad. And why would you rather have an s4 its less powerful and worse with battery. I am cheering for a comeback where the come out with a kickass quad core lte phone that has great battery life amazing screen, camera, and audio. They were close which makes it even more disappointing. If Hauwei can why not htc.

Cuz hauwei made there own processor if u want to blame someone blame nvidia.. and where are u getting ur info form that says t3 is better than the s4?? Every test I look at shows there pretty similar just cuz its quad core.don't mean jack what are u going to do with a quad core phone that a just as powerful duel core phone can't do that's right nothing.. I'm more disappointed in the ram still being at 1gb and not 1.5 gb. And the battery being 1800mha.. fact is the t3 is outdated and the s4 is new tech.. Qualcomm has made big strides recently and this new chip showes it. I was actually disappointed the phone was using the t3 in the first place..
17. biophone posted on 27 Feb 2012, 12:33 0 1
Its amazin to me the hauwei is able to build there on quad core and htc doesn't. They should and it should work with lte. Anyway i would rather them drop the lte radio since it doesn't even work modt places and put the teg 3 back.

So its amazing to you that a company that's over 10 times bigger and has over 10x the amount of employees and making huge amounts of money in China can make its own processor but a fairly small company like HTC can't lol come on man.. that's why HTC has a partnership with Qualcomm. And yes this snapdragon s4 is NOT based on the a9. So I'm not saying that its better than the t3 but its def on par with it.. by ur knowledge a 5mp camera can never be as good as a 8mp camera and we all know that's BS. It's amazing how brainwashed u are about something as stupid as the amount of cores when its a gemmick to a extent anyway there is a lot more important things in making a processor than how many cores it has fact is the t3 is outdated and put to market the same way the t2 was.. just to be first!! Why don't u start asking questions like how can Qualcomm make a duel core that's on par with a quad core or sumn like that instead of trolling every topic goin off on how the t3 is better and so on and not posting anything to back it up when several ppl have posted on how the s4 compares to the competition that u simply ignore because u have it in ur mind at how much better the t3 is and when u were proved wrong instead of admitting it u start carrying on with no proof... Lol HTC make there own processor. there big and have money but not that big and don't have that much money there struggling to make money now making phones.. let alone blow millions in R&D on a processor when I'm pretty sure they own part of Qualcomm not sure on that but I think they do..

@bio, you are really sounding unintelligent with your comments. Almost every claim you make is unsubstantiated because there are no benchmarks or real-world tests. Also, people tend to have their phones (with a 2 year contract) a minimum of 18-20 months. ATT's LTE coverage will be drastically increased by then, most likely with voice over LTE starting to roll out. LTE is still very important since that is the future of the network(s).

Man, get a clue!
As well as the author of the article.
DUAL CORE SNAPDRAGON S4 CPU IS AS POWERFUL AS TEGRA 3, and it consumes less power at the same time, while incorporating LTE radio.
The only thing where tegra 3 has slight edge is the GPU
9. biophone posted on 27 Feb 2012, 11:08 0 3
Sorry but the tegra 3 is more powerful then the s4.
7. darac posted on 27 Feb 2012, 10:51 2 2
Bunch of noobs and trolls comment.
Especially the biophone guy. Trashes the S4 just for the sake of trolling
10. biophone posted on 27 Feb 2012, 11:11 2 2
First of all how many accounts do you have. Second of all remixfa pa's eesident proccesor guru has already said the s4 is less power efficent and powerful then the tegra 3. Third of all i think the one x is a great phone but disapointing compared to the superior international phone and weak battery capacity.
18. ngo2dd posted on 27 Feb 2012, 12:51 2 1
You know there have been test that show the T3 in fact is not better.
19. biophone posted on 27 Feb 2012, 12:56 0 1
Benchmark is easily manipulated. The snapdragon in t mobiles sgs2 is an example. Its obious the teg 3 is better it an equivalent cortex and has quad core. Plus you have to factor in the phone the proccesor is in. The resolution and skin come in to play.
22. KParks23 posted on 27 Feb 2012, 13:14 1 1
So now ur comparing the s4 to a year old model in the sgs2... Every post from u is full of FAIL.. its a new processor that tons and tons of money was spent making
26. Hunt3rj2 posted on 28 Feb 2012, 23:10 0 0
LOL SO WRONG AGAIN
Qualcomm is a custom design, you wouldn't say that AMD's processors are Intel designs.
Their CPUs are equivalent to Cortex A15.

biophone, can you read? count?
here, try it out, and shut your trolling mouth:
14. biophone posted on 27 Feb 2012, 12:08 0 2
Wow lol i read about those proccesors and first of all they said that they didn't yet know and gave expectations. Well considering the tegra 3 is quad clee a9 cortex and the s4 is dual core a9 cortex both clocked at 1.5ghz which one do you think is faster.
16. coolkalpesh posted on 27 Feb 2012, 12:33 1 0
biophone one very important thing you don't know is S4 is manufactured with 28nm technology and t3 i guess 40nm technology.. 28nm makes the hell lot of difference in power consumption and efficiency. you believe it or not but but S4 is way better than T3.. quad core has no meaning at this stage as there are not many applications that uses 4 cores so S4 is going to be any time better than t3.
20. biophone posted on 27 Feb 2012, 12:59 0 1
Ics uses quad core. The 28 nm vs 40 is offset by the five cores and quad core is more efficent in general then dual core.
24. willardcw4 posted on 28 Feb 2012, 16:19 1 0
bio, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Of course, now everyone copies Nokia with its curved screen...fail.

Bad enough it's not a quad-core and it can't have it's memory expanded, but is the AT&T version also burdened with that weirdo 22-23fps 1080p HD mode? Who in the world would come up with that frame rate on a modern dual-core? Why?
Sorry, but 16GB of fixed memory is not enough these days if you are going to use your phone for anything multimedia. 32GB barely is. And flash is so dirt-cheap it's not even funny.
Am I missing something on this?
