HTC One Mini (M8)'s rather pricy European pricing leaks

0. phoneArena 09 May 2014, 01:43 posted on

The HTC One Mini (M8) was leaked out by two Finnish online retailers, revealing a steep price tag. Although Finland can be an expensive country in terms of tech pricing, the One M8's "mini-me" will retail for around $720 (520 EUR) including taxes...

$720 for a low spec phone that reminds people of 2011? I thought HTC had fired the bad execs. I guess not.

I currently use the m8 and love it but the mini is a small screen phone and the on screen buttons take up part of the 4.5 screen leaving the useable screen real estate the same as an iphone , even the camera Im not sure will be good cuz the new htc 816 probably has the same 13mp cam and the reviews on web are not impressed by its snapper even recommending m8 over 816 in some cases.
So personally I would recommend the previous htc mini or even a iphone 5 if you want a small phone however its up to you what you want.

I think the prices are much higher for HTC smartphones in Finland than other parts of the world so if someone from Finland can provide us with the current m8 price we may be able to get a more accurate price comparison for other parts of the world for the mini m8

This has to be wrong. The One M8 was 530 euros when it first launched if I'm not mistaken, there's no way this would just be 10 off.

I don't trust those numbers until they are made official. I remember the Note 3 neo was said to be pricier than the Note 3, and the Gear 2 will have the same price as the Gear neo and turned up to be nothing but rumors.
As for the phone, I think it will be a worthy of an upgrade for my mom's iP5.

$720? I believe the higher price tag is of one of those "get it before anyone else" listings.
$500 is what you should expect when it is launched

Smartphones are bloody expensive in Europe! Americans are spoiled for choice. An HTC One M8 costs about 1.100USD in my (european) home country...

So Specs-wise it's basically a Moto G with a cam with more megapixels and an aluminium body.

and for that you pay roughly $500 more. Nice deal, HTC.

What!!! Why would anybody go for it when they have the option to go for HTC One M7, Samsung Galaxy S4 or LG G2 at much lower price and will surely blow apart M8 Mini.
