Just the other day, we showed you what was purportedly a full specs sheet for the HTC One Max; now, a retail posting for the device confirms the specs on the device. In case you've been doing the ol' Rip Van Winkle, or you just recently became a smartphone fanatic (in which case, welcome aboard), the HTC One Max is the phablet-sized version of the Taiwan manufacturer's HTC One Android flagship phone...

16GB, Snapdragon 600 fail. No Magic Stylus, this is a mid-range "Over Sized Phone".

It has a snapdragon 800. I don't think 16gb is sounds right considering the one has 32gb but I'm not phablet fan at all the Note 3 is a beast.specs wise but other than that Its a plastic square that is a step back for Sammy as far design and build quality is concerned.

Note 3 = Nokia 3310 in build quality. Check the drop test from Friday. ;)

Note 3 and HTC One Max are beautifull phones in terms of design but I don't think HTC will succed because of the Ultra Pixel camera and no stylus.

Nope, Note 3 > One Max. 1520> One max Oppo N1>One Max. Xperia Z Ultra >One Max

Y'know I really love my One. So far the processor has never bogged down on me, and as long as the 16 GB comes with a micro sd card slot I'm fine with these specs. All I want from my HTC One is a larger screen; I think the One Max fits the bill. This is going to be my next phone even if Verizon charges $299 on contract. Namely the things that make me want this over the Note 3 is the front facing speakers, slightly larger screen, the double tap home button recent apps trigger, and the HTC Zoe feature.

Yes, the One is a great phone and putting all that into the Max will make it the beast phablet. Can't wait for it to get announced this week!

no stylus is a big fail.but snapdragon 600 is enough to run any intensive games smoothly

Not at all, I rarely ever use my stylus for my Note 2.

What truly makes this phone a fail is the 16GB and ultra megapixel camera it comes with, aside from that, the snapdragon processor is still a beast by today standards.

It's a bigger version of the One..no wonder Htc is in trouble.

What a waste at the production line to even manufacture this.

i think the reason you won't see typical phablet specs (stylus input, etc) and that you won't see many different specs to the htc one, is because this literally a bigger-sized htc one, hence the name.

a really great device though. also, to anyone else, if you simply compare phones by pure specs then ofc you're not going to like this phone or the htc one.

if this is true, I think I may be going with the Lumia 1520 for my next phablet device.

Really? I'm actually surprised by that but love that others are taking the 1520 serious like myself.. +1 to you sir!

It's also dependent on how great the GDR3 update is for Windows Phone 8, but I'm starting to think I am going to get the Lumia 1520 as my phablet device and then the Nexus 5 as my regular Android device.

Note 3. You won't regret it. It was great while I had it. I miss it already. :(

I go back and forth as to whether I really like the Note 3 or not. I owned the original Galaxy Note and enjoyed it, but I don't really like the UI. It just seems a little too clunky for my taste. I am going to try it out in person, though, to be sure. It also just seems like it's the 5S version of the Galaxy Note II where it's more so just a minor upgrade, but again I'll hold off final judgment until I actually get one on one time with the device.

Note 3 is not a minor upgrade from it's predecessor... It's worthy of an actual number instead of a numeric one.

This better be cheap because its just an oversized One.
Unless they come up with Ultra features like samsung always does

Ouch HTC, another dropping of the ball. Snap 800, 32 gigs, 4,000 mAh would've been better. This just shows how spoiled we are now, this phone will do everything we need/want it to do. Spoil us though HTC
