HTC Nexus One showing off multitouch in Europe

The lack of multitouch support in any of the Nexus One’s pre-loaded apps came as a small disappointment for all of us, who expected the new king of all Android smartphones. Similar feelings arose a few months back with the introduction of the ubiquitous DROID, the European variant of which however did feature multitouch. Now guess what – HeiseOnline reports that a GSM unit of the Google Phone for the European market it has reviewed actually has no problem at all dealing with multitouch support in the browser. Of course, this information is not official yet and it’s not sure if the final unit that will be offered by Vodafone will have the feature, but we do not have any reason to believe it won’t. So, that’s it, it seems US users are left with the only option of waiting for third-party developers to get that pinching action on the CDMA Nexus One as well.

yeah HTC needs to send out that software update to enable the MultiTouch in the US Nexus Ones PRONTO, I can't believe they'd write the code for the European one and not the USA one. *shakes head***

Thank Good ole, Steve Jobs for that one! There to worried about getting attacked by Apples legal dogs that's why!
