HTC M8 (One 2) Mini specs leaked: 4.5-inch 720p screen, Android KitKat, Snapdragon 400 CPU

0. phoneArena 08 Feb 2014, 18:02 posted on

It appears that the small variant of HTC's M8 / One 2 will be a bit larger than last year's HTC One Mini. The handset should have on-screen keys, the latest version of Android, and MicroSD card slot...

Oh yeah, from this we can assume that the M8 will come with Micro-SD expansion and higher megapixel count cameras. Sweet!!

Moto G specs with double the price. Beside the better camera.

Wow. The only other change I see is the addition of a Micro SD Card slot.... I'll stick with the Moto G, without the Sense skin on top this Moto G flies.

slightly better cpu, too. It also gets microSD card support, which is great.
But well, if it's really double the price of the Moto G, it won't be worth it anyway.

I think Xperia ZR or ZL is a much better
alternative, because i'm pretty sure that One 2 mini will be in the same price range with ZR and ZL.

yea, Moto G specs, except for a better front and rear camera, better speakers, better cpu, aluminum body, higher internal capacity, micro SD slot, etc...! so yea almost the same spec but higher price

i dont know if you have ever had a sony smartphone or not. my sister has a SP (which is a 2013 model), the camera is from 2008 i guess (though 8MPX)! the wifi sgnal is too weak, and the phone is way slower than its first day, although less than 15 apps have been installed since then, and the screen quality, though HD, is cr@p

The Moto G doesn't have LTE bands so that's a nonstarter for me and many others.

Better cpu???no worries moto G is already running fine and handles most of Hd games out there...
Aluminium body...no thanks...Plastic is more durable ,also not prone to scratches, and doesn't interfere with radio signals.....
High internal memory??? Moto G too has 16GB model...
Micro SD...i accept with you in this...SD card is one of the important features...
Better speakers...Ofcourse....but i don't care about it...cuz who listen music without HS...
And don't miss the better radio signals in moto devices...
and for half the price...moto G is the winner...

Why haven't they put higher specs so that consumers who are spec savvy but don't want big screens, this would have been a good choice but,.....,

See, that's exactly what I was thinking too. I would like to see a manufacturer keep the same specs in the mini version-they can even keep the same price. That's a proper way to satisfy different users.

Agreed. HTC could have pulled a Xperia Z1 Compact with the mini....that would have been amazing.

It's probably targeted to an audience who can't afford a phone with high end specs.

but the problem is the price of htc mini phones are in the same price range with other phones that usually has better specs.

It really looks like the Z1 compact can be a hit. No competition from HTC (not even surprised) means it's Samsung and LG left. And both have horrendous designs and build quality - that's not going to appeal to iStupidfans.

Sounds like a winner! Though I will go for the regular M8 or the Max version

Good job HTC! But the SoC could have been Snapdragon 600.

HTC are finally listening to the their customers, quick with the updates, and now they've hopefully sorted out that ultra pixel gimmick, or atleast improved it. I can only imagine that the One 2's camera will be better than the mini with perhaps a 8 MP Ultra pixel camera. However this wasnt the case with the two devices last year as they both sported the same camera. We can only hope that HTC executes this device nicely ;)

Whoa...MicroSD for the mini?
Hope the same is true for the non-mini version as well!!

Even an S4 pro would've been better than that
