HTC M7 might indeed be announced soon, invites going out for a February 19 event in NYC
As rumored, HTC might be announcing its new flagship, codenamed M7, before the MWC expo, as it just confirmed with us a February 19 event in New York City. The phone is said to land on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint, which would explain the US event.

Just as the HTC DROID DNA was the first Full HD handset announced, and still the only one you can buy, the HTC M7 is expected to sport the highest pixel density in its class, with a 4.7" Full HD screen, clocking in at the eye-watering 468ppi.

The other speculation is for a quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 13 MP camera on the back, which we wouldn't be surprised to turn out a Sony Exmor RS sensor, given how everyone but LG is rumored to use Sony's unit this year. 

The handset is also likely to be the first one carrying the streamlined, minimalistic new Sense 5.0 interface, and we'll be sure to let you know firsthand how everything looks and feels come February 19.
