HTC Hero S leaks, sports US Cellular branding
We are already aware of the rumor that Sprint will be getting the HTC EVO Design 4G soon – a device that was formerly known as the HTC Kingdom, but it seems like the handset will be joining the lineup of yet another carrier. Judging by this leaked image, the HTC Kingdom will be available on US Cellular as well, and HTC Hero S is the name it will be marketed with.

Just like its Sprint-bound sibling, the HTC Hero S is expected to be powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm chipset – the single-core MSM7630 to be exact. Sure, that might not be enough processing punch to put the handset in the high-end category, but besides the Motorola ELECTRIFY, there probably won't be any devices in US Cellular's stable that would outperform it.

A 4-inch qHD display is what the HTC Hero S will likely be equipped with, which should be plenty of resolution to deliver sharp, eye-pleasing images. The 5-megapixel camera on the device's back will be capable of shooting 720p video, and the front-facing shooter will let you have video chats with your buddies. In terms of software, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread is expected to come out of the box.

Pricing and availability of the HTC Hero S for US Cellular remain anybody's guess, but it wouldn't be surprising if we hear an announcement from the carrier in the near future.

The EVO Design 4G kinda looks as though it could be a successor to the Evo Shift, but sadly there is no word on weather or not the EVO Design 4G will have a physical keyboard.

It should have a keyboard. Otherwise it seems like a pointlessly under powered phone.
