The "S" stands for Super LCD screen, and indeed we saw increased brightness and better viewing angles while handling the HTC HD7S at the CTIA show...

I don't know why considering WP7 kicks all kinds of ass, and embarrasses the ugly, unintuitive, choppy, laggy, fragmented pile of crap known as Android and matches and even surpasses iOS is many areas of usability and smoothness. It also happens to be by far the best looking mobile OS by a country mile.
It's not without some early headaches, but in a year there won't be a mobile OS as good. Whether that makes it successful, nobody knows. Consumers are sheep who will buy sh*t simply because everyone else is. How else can you explain people putting up with Android. I say this is a former Android user for 9 months.

I want to try windows 7 but there just aren't any phones that really appeal to me. That's where I think why people are hesitant to try windows 7.

Of course WP7 has a more user friendly UI. Just waiting for WP7 on a LTE device with a bright 4.3" screen, dual proc and a big battery. Also want a GPS mapping program with turn by turn voice and this will be a keeper.

While you all argue about whats better ... I work for a living and productivity out weighs angry bird or some app that does some meaningless task ... Give me office 2010 on my phone I can get my job done faster, better and make more money so I can go somewhere enjoyable with people I want to be around and turn my phone off! Wait ... WP7 doesn't need an app for that ... It comes with it ... Go play angry bird Joe

I think WP7 is just going to get as popular as android when more of these phones hit more carriers. Sprint just got a wp7 phone and well its 50/50 some people prefer keyboards some dont, but this is only one model. Verizon doesnt have a wp right now, T-mobile has one model. Att is the only carrier that has a few different models. I have an android phone and like other people are just waiting for a model with more options. The good thing i think Microsoft is doing is controlling their OS and not letting every manufacturer out there customize the UI and make OS updates take forever.
