HTC EVO 4G owners can get a final Android 2.2 build unofficially from XDA-Devs
User Pojoman from the XDA-Developers forums has somehow obtained a final Android 2.2 ROM Update Utility from Sprint, and released it for the HTC EVO 4G owners to install at their own risk.

Some of them were no doubt frustrated to find out that the .3 build they manually downloaded from the HTC servers a few days ago turned non-final, so now they have a way to remedy the situation, at least until HTC hits the channels with its official .3 to .6 fix.

He got it from a Sprint store in Austin, TX - the sprint tech there put it on a flash drive for him. However, in his "excitement" about obtaining this RUU he proceeded to out the employee, and that employee is going to at the worst be out of a job, and at the least facing corrective action.... He even called out his ability to woo females as his ability to get it from the Sprint tech......
