HTC EVO 4G LTE root available

Now that those of you that pre-ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE are finally receiving it, you’re probably wondering how long of a delay there will be until someone figures out how to root it. Fear not, the Android community already has you covered. Take that customs!
What’s even better news is that it is a really easy process. The HTC EVO 4G LTE uses the same exploit as the post Ice Cream Sandwich Transformer Prime. Just install the drivers and run a simple script and you’re off to the races.
For step-by-step instructions be sure to head on over to Android Central in the source link. All the files you need are there complete with instructions and photos. A video guide should also be available shortly.

That's awesome, considering I just spent my entire shift fulfilling preorders that finally came in. :)

It's a local root only, S-OFF is still not done, so no ROMs or custom recovery yet.
BTW, people who pre-ordered the LTEvo through Sprint gets a free silicon case! w00t!

And people who preordered through Best Buy got a 50 buck gift card. In all seriousness, after all the coupons one guy had, he walked out just paying sales tax.
