As expected, the HTC EVO 4G LTE is now up for pre-order from the Sprint online store. While the pre-order page does not mention much as to when exactly the device will be delivered to your door, we now have more clues hinting that the HTC EVO 4G LTE release date is set for May 18.

now the message has changed it reads "Thanks for pre-ordering a shiny new HTC EVO 4G LTE, an email will be sent the second it ships. The launch date for this handset will be announced in the next few days, thank you for your patience. Delivery should occur within 1 to 3 business days thereafter. You may continue to track the status of your order on this web page. If you have questions, check out sprint.com/preorder for more info."

MicroSD expandable to 48gb
Dedicated camera button
Kickstand
2000 mAH battery

All these things make it sufficiently better than the HTC One X on AT&T which is a great phone
Available now, unlike the SGS3

Tempted to preorder right now.

on top of this, if the US Galaxy S3 uses the S4, then this phone will undoubtedly be the best Android phone to get.

From what I've read, 32gb is just the stated limit, but 64gb SDXC cards work in certain phones too. I probably won't risk trying it though, considering a 32gb card goes for around $20, while 64gb cards go for around $80.

I don't know why you're being voted down, but this is true.

64GB cards WILL work with many phones that claim to only support 32 GB, but they still have the 4GB filesize limit. Any phone that officially supports 64GB microSD also supports unlimited filesize limit.

it can use 64gb cards as well

Some stores were taking pre-orders before today. I put myself on the list last Friday at a Sprint Store. That's for in-store pickup though, I kind of wish I did it online so I wouldn't have to drive all the way there... I'm lazy...

Can't wait until the 18th :D

Looks like a great phone spec wise I'm not sure about the three colored design though.. I'll visit my local sprint store later to see first hand maybe it will be amazing.

Lookswise its growing on me...

After looking at all of the SGS3 press from the event, I have to say, I think I like the new EVO better, some of the reasons were mentioned above...No doubt the SGS3 will be a fine phone, I just think I prefer the EVO.

My receipt for the pre-order from Best Buy said,

"Scheduled for Standard delivery
Estimated Arrival: 05/11-05/16/2012."

Maybe I will be surprised a couple days early?

16. Danalvi1981 posted on 08 May 2012, 11:44

that would be cool if we did get it 5/11...

19. tinykay1 posted on 08 May 2012, 13:14

When I pre-ordered through sprint yesterday it said they'll begin shipping on the 15th and it will arrive 1-3 business days after. Now it's showing the same thing you said earlier.

18. tinykay1 posted on 08 May 2012, 13:12 2

I spoke with a best buy rep yesterday because I saw the same thing when I added the phone to my shopping cart. According to the rep, those dates are just the regular generated dates and that they cannot send out any phones until they have been released by sprint. Therefore you will not get it before people that ordered it directly from Sprint did. But on the plus side, even though you have to wait a few days later, you'll get a $50 best buy gift card.
