HTC EVO 4G LTE out of customs and now in some customers' hands

0. phoneArena 25 May 2012, 00:45 posted on

We were informed by many who had pre-ordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE that they had received the notifications that their phones were being shipped and sure enough, many received their brand spanking new smartphone on Thursday, right on time...

Yeah, that neighbor is a f**king d**k.

And yes, this was my entire shift. And as usual with a launch day, software failures on our computers were quite common. One contract even spontaneously printed out in Spanish. Also, because we had zero warning, we had nobody scheduled to help.

Lol, definitely not. I didn't know about it until I walked in at 2. "Oh yeah, clock in, we got authorization to fulfill preorders."

Why would they allow the neighbor to sign it?.. I wouldn't want any of my neighbors to sign any of my shipments.

@Snig - taco was being taco. I was wondering if he was going to be able to resist the urge. Looks like he wasn't able to.

Yeah, but what about the fate of the One X? I have to get a phone now with a new company and the next best android is the Skyrocket. =/

You aren't missing much with ATT's One X. I was actually one of the rare ones to get one and I'm seriously considering returning it for the LG Nitro unless the Sony Ion comes out before my 30days is up for Best Buy. Very poor and cheap design. It is just a screen with a thin plastic shell glued on it. There are gaps around it light shines out of as well as it being wide enough for dust and moisture getting in. Freezes a lot, Slow Sense that I have to wait to load half the time when returning to the home screen. IMAP doesn't sync 100%. Slight pressure causes screen to ripple. DLNA only half works. The only positive note is a nice screen and battery life is pretty good unless you are using the screen a lot. ICS update coming looks awesome on the Nitro and I can get a double size battery for it. It actually has more usable memory that can be expanded too. If they designed the One X more like Sprint's version I might have been more likely to keep it...but still don't like the battery even though bigger in Sprint's. They need to advertise the memory better in these things too. I keep seeing people say you have 12GB useable...no, it is 9GB. And the 25GB Dropbox doesn't make up for it streaming one song at a time and taking forever to upload.

Ted are you reading this review of the laggy buggy one x?

Sorry, been busy with real life the last day, my daughter was stalked by some 50 year old creep.

I just read it now. So, I just have to decide if I will believe the universally positive reviews from professional reviewers which say zero lag, or the one review from a guy I've never seen before...hmmm, this is gonna be a tough call.

BTW, Fervid, I'm not trying to belittle any issues you had with it. You could have gotten a bad one (you know, like a phone that drops calls if you touch your finger to the side). Or, you might just not like Sense, lots of people don't. I live it, and even on my single core gingerbread phone it has zero lag.

Have you tried exchanging for another? See if its just that you got one with a faulty flash memory module or something not configured right.

If you wait 30days, you will pay an ETF. You only have 14 days to terminate your contract!!!!! I also had ATT's One X and returned it within the 14 days. 9 GB was simply pathetic with no SD card.

Traded it for a Note. Only issue is keyboard lag when notifications come in. Beats the One X everywhere else.

I realized now that I'm more conscious that he might have been kidding (though he should have indicated that better). However, at five in the morning when I've woken up to use the bathroom and seems something stupid and antagonistic, I'm going to be grumpy.

Apple already got a fat slap on its sorry cheek unable to prevent the one X. Unfortunately it's just the beginning. There's more to come with the arrival of gs3.

Have the neighbor thrown in jail for stealing someone else's mail.
