The One X has LED in the headset grill, I am guessing this is the same.

Hi John V.,
Thanks for the article/blog. I wasn't too impressed with the pictures of the phone that were posted earlier today (design wise). I'm curious...in person what was your impression of the tri-tone coloring with what looks like 2 (maybe 3?) different materials on the back? I'm just not sure about the red & gray with that glossy black. What were your thoughts? :^/
Also, is the kickstand plastic, or metal, or...?

Yeah, it's a mesh of things in the rear. Can't say if I like/dislike it right now, but it consists of a glossy and soft touch plastics. I suppose it could grow on me, but I'd have to see. As for that kickstand, it's part of the red plastic in the rear.

Well, if you don't like the back, that's what an aftermarket case is for. :)

there's certainly workarounds but you know it would be nice to not want to cover up the back of your phone because you think it's ugly. it should be so nice that it makes the idea of covering it up a sad thing.

Agreed. I always get after market cases, but I like to get the "see thru" gel cases. That's why I'm not sure about the phone's overall design/color/material scheme. I'll have to see it in person first. :^{D>

@belovedson: I WAS waiting for the EVO One...er...EVO 4G LTE, but now not so sure. I'm not sure about the design/color of this phone. I've had the original EVO 4G, and the EVO 3D...loved 'em both. But, I may wait to see what Samsung brings with the GSIII instead.
Now, if they offered the EVO 4G LTE in all White, or even all White (no gloss) with a Red kickstand...I'd be down for that!

I like Sprint ONE Evo version than AT&T. It have SD CARD MICRO SLOT HUGE MASSIVE BATTERY. Damn feel like I want to move to Sprint but still on my crappy contract.

it's only 230mAh larger than the battery in the Razr and it's 7.1mm thin...

I wonder how much it costs straight outta the box, with no contract. I plan on getting credit for my ET4G and then paying the difference.

Easy fix by just getting a cover for your phone, but I do not like the metal/plastic back. It just does not look good at all when you shine light on it. But like I said, just get a cover for it and problem solved.

what do you think about how narrow it looks. In other words, it seems a bit skinny, kinda like the EVO 3D, which wasn't as wide the orignial EVO. I have the ET4G and I like the width.

It looks to be about the same width as the original EVO. If it has the same specs as the One X, it will be a bit more wider than the Galaxy Nexus and I think it's very comfortable to hold.

Everything the original EVO was and more. That camera is unbelieveable and a two-way kickstand! I love the red stripe! Can't wait to see the display in person.
