HTC EVO 3D Unboxing
0. phoneArena 16 Jun 2011, 17:03 posted on
Strangely, not a single photo or image of the handset is seen on any portion of the packaging, but instead, we find imprints of the “EVO 3D” name and recognizable capacitive touch buttons directly on the front of the box...

So sexy i cant wait to get it its definantely the hottest phone if it was on Verizon or AT&T people would not be saying o 3d a gimmick theyll be supporting it, But look how fast it powers up

So you gonna say that on every site? The Galaxy s2 blows this thing away..
5. damienh28 (Posts: 49; Member since: 23 Dec 2010)
Spec wise there pretty close, Power wise S2 wins no lie, but lets be serious which would you rather show off, Iphone sucks but its so elite becuase its simple and neat looking, GS2 is so tech savy and only phone geeks care about it, The EVO3d is so mouth droping, But your right the Gs2 is better but blow away no

to be honest i say the EVO 3D and Galaxy S II are completely opposite on the raw power front. the EVO 3D and the Sensation have proven to be on the bottom in terms of power while the Galaxy S II still reigns undefeated. realistically this phone isn't that special, 3D is still at a gimmicky stage of development and if you don't want to take it from me read Engadget's review.

dude I guarantee you Verizon is working on a 3d phone, Every phone will have 3d in the near future how is it a gimmick. First Evo 4.3 4g Android Front facing camera. Thats innovation what happens. Droid X 4.3 screen Iphone Front Camera. Sprint Innovates and what happens every phone from then on out is using these ideas. 3d will be apart of everyday life stop hating that verizon didnt do it first. Look now Lg making a dualscreen phone Sony also. EVO stands for evolution and its definantely doing that to all smartphones bro

The Thunderbolt is the EVO on Verizon right or wrong

you're right, i i mentioned that in my comment before i even read your comment.

Thats true...but what was on Sprint that was equal to the Droid 1 when it launched...
Until the EVO, Sprint was behind with decent Android phones.
It took until mid to last year for all the other carriers to start having more than 1 decent Android phone. Verizon had the best total line up for a while.

i think your forgetting that sprint, verizon and at&t rejected the idea of an android phone when it first came out...if it werent for t-mobile theres a good chance we might not even have these awesome handsets...thats just talking about the U.S.....oh and just in case you might ask which phone, well none other than the mighty htc g1.
63. jroc74 (Posts: 6014; Member since: 30 Dec 2010)
Which is wild why it took so long for decent Android phones to be on T Mobile.

i don't care if Verizon is making a 3D phone. they're probably working on getting HTC to make them a version of the EVO 3D like they did with the EVO 4G, if i wanted one i wouldn't be concerned about it not coming but stereoscopic screens just aren't friendly to my sensitive eyes and that's really the only feature that stands out with the EVO 3D, the rest has proven to be under par and unless you just want to flaunt the first 3D phone then it's really not going to be that alluring compared to the Photon 4G which will be the more powerful phone on the Now Network until the Galaxy S II arrives in one form or the other.

Not going to lie your a smart guy, you know phone, Your right i like the EVO 3d becuase the idea is cool, one question is the stereoscopic screen going to damage my eyes

why thank you. if you want to experience something similar before the EVO 3D comes out you can go to your local Best Buy and look at the Nintendo 3DS.

Your Photon 4g will not be better than the Evo3d nor will it out perform the Evo 3d that will never happen. They will share the same network which is a plus but don't get it TWISTED the flagship device for sprint is the Evo 3d and will always be. The whole entire evo brand represents sprint so take your Photon 4g and fake galaxy within and go on a lonely highway and jump between cars.

..but it does. i'd feel the same way if we were talking about a Droid but that's simply not the case here guy. the EVO 3D is fast but it's a long shot from being the fastest, that's fact. if you don't believe me look for yourself. PA themselves just posted their Benchmark results.
41. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
even Verizon had a short period of having a Flagship device that wasn't a part of it's most advertised brand which was the Thunderbolt. no big deal.
43. jroc74 (Posts: 6014; Member since: 30 Dec 2010)
You should just get an iPhone.....they way you carry on about the EVO and Sprint you would fit in quite nicely with the fanboys on that side...

i give credit & criticisms where it's due.

That post was meant for richard...the evosprintwimax fanboy.

it may be a lil lame but you forgot Sprint came out with dual screens now LG is doing the same for someone
39. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
Kyocera came out with the dual screens, not Sprint, they're a carrier and Sprint was gutsy to decide to carry that phone.

There were 3D Android phones over seas last year....
The LG 3D already launched...might launch in the US before the EVO 3D
I willl give FFC on Android phones to the EVO. I'm willing to bet it was also already out overseas. Dont feel like checking right now. But...FFC has been done years before the EVO and iPhone.
The phone size was on Win Mo before the EVO...HTC HD2 and probably on Android phones overseas...
I would say HTC innovates. Sprint is only the carrier.
The EVO was/is a nice phone...but just like with most phones...when one starts fact checking one finds out just how unoriginal a phone is..

Scratch the LG launching in the US before the EVO 3D...lol
Sites are saying LG 3D is the first glasses free Android phone....thats not right. It was either Sharp or somebody else overseas last year.

Yeah ENGADGET'S REPORT WAS TOTALLY APPLE FANBOYISH JUST LIKE YOUR COMMENT. I can go tell you to go read Walt Mosberg at Wall Street Journal, or go read Bonnie Cha at Cnet or go check out Bob Kovac over at Wirefly.com AS WELL as androidcentral.com and androidandme.com. All these stated sites DO PROPER REVIEWS WHY???Because they want people to understand what they are purchasing and want people to know exactly how the device preforms not based on some personal feelings...Legitimate sites are not even posting honest reviews cause it takes days with a device before you can tell the general public how the device works and performs...You as well as Engadget at best are Idiots
38. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
i'm not even an Apple fan boy, the only Apple product i've ever owned was an old iPod Nano and it was a gift. Engadget are the most critical reviewers, if you want to get down into the nitty gritty about the phone's overall worth then Engadget is the place to go. what's the difference between a "proper" review and one based on personal feelings? all reviews no matter where you find them are going to post personal reviews by their editors or whoever they get to do them. oh and sites like Wirefly are generally going to be softer on their reviews because they sell the phones too.

Galaxy S2 is a JOKE....You will never see any updates on that device...How easily we forget...Evo 3d will rule android
