Verizon offers you a second $199.99 HTC Droid Incredible for free, but Amazon outdoes Big Red with a $39.99 price on a two-year contract...

When really good phones get priced like this it makes me wonder how much these phones actually cost to produce.

I am sure they are taking a loss when it comes to bogo cause they will make it back on the $350 Term fee. But isn't this news a little late? Hasn't it been this price for almost two weeks now and it's just being reported? I thought the price changed to bogo on October 4th.

Yes, such a great deal. By doing your homework you will see that the phone "usually" ships between 1-2 months. Not to mention the $39.99 price is only for NEW Verizon wireless customers. So in the end Amazons deal looks better from the outside, but once you dig in it's not that great.

Amazon has much lower overhead, and can reach a broader worldwide group of people, than an actual retail outlet or store. less overhead+more customers = less money they can charge and pull a profit. if you are already know phones, awesome place to shop. if your like 99% of the people out there...not so smart. Example: "daddy i want a kin phone!" "sure son, now get out of the room and remember daddy was not hurting mommy"
