HTC Droid DNA is now available for pre-order, yours for $200

0. phoneArena 13 Nov 2012, 11:37 posted on

Right after the Droid DNA by HTC was made official, Verizon started accepting pre-orders for the handset on its Droid Does web page. Anyone who wants to own the most powerful member of the Droid family is free to visit it and hit that "Add to cart" button. Its price, in case you don't remember, is $200 with a new 2-year contract...

Damn why does HTC do this? How can this SEXY phone NOT have a MicroSD card slot? & Why on this good Earth that we live in does a phone with a 5" display only have a 2020mAh battery?

HTC it's like anything good you produce, YOU need to sabotage!

What a waste! :-(

Samsung Galaxy Note II here I come!

Yeah when I found out it was like a punch in the face! HTC really doesn't get it. EVERYONE is putting nice sized batteries but HTC just walks down its own path.

Don't they know that path leads to oblivion? WAKE UP HTC!

actually, they aren't purposley sabatoging it. if they knew they were sabatoging it, then they would stop it

the fact that they aren't doing anythig about it labels them as plain stupid

I think its the buracrac y. the smart people who realize this is stupid can't talk and can't do anything about it. the stupid ones who add bloatware and make stupid designs don't realize that they are doing something wrong

and thats why we're not getting Nexus4... man, it sucks to be on Verizon sometimes. except i cant leave b/c my unlimited data of course.
i also hate CDMA vs GSM. we miss out on some really great phones. at least VoLTE launches soon?

I think they will do like they did with de One X+... In the next few months they're going to release a better version of this with better battery life.

Wonder how long a 2020mAh battery would last on that gorgeous 1080p screen

Maybe in standby. This thing will get a couple hours of screen time, tops.

I seem to recall being called an idiot regarding that 2,020mAh battery. Funny stuff.

Like I said before, sweet, but flawed beyond usability. This thing needed a MUCH bigger battery, and why would you release it with 4.1 when 4.2 goes live today (officially)?

At least you get 4.1, when most phones are just now receiving 4.0 and won't even see 4.1 one for months, or may not even see it period.

I won't be. I got an N4, so I will get 4.2. Even if I was on Verizon, I wouldn't get this. It's a show pony, not a work horse, with that tiny (By Android standards) battery.

I have to agree about the battery. I was soo hoping HTC would have a winner with the DNA, but the battery is just soo... Dinky!?

Yeah, that's just disappointing. Of course, of the major advancements in smartphone technology I have not personally used, a 1080p screen would have been LOW on my list of priorities. Give me next-gen graphics (PowerVR Rogue), unbelievable battery life, ceramic/carbon fiber bodies...almost anything, except resolution bumps. The 720p screens, at that size, are already awesome, and I don't need a better grade of awesome, I need a phone that matches that screen in every other way.
