" it is sad to rely on 576MB RAM and 512MB ROM. So, if you were into the Nexus One’s features" that's sad?

The HTC Desire is headed to Verizon formally called Incredible. HTC Legend is going to AT&T as it has GSM Radios in it. A revised version with a different shell will come to Sprint and Verizon later on. Both phones will be out Q2.

If the Desire is going to Verizon, that will officially end my waiting game. I was waiting for the Omnia II, then the Droid, then the Nexus, and I was going to go Nexus when it comes out on VZW, but the Desire is it. Based on what has been reported so far, I will sign on for that for 2 yrs. and be quite happy.

You are incorrect Sir, this is formally called the "Bravo" get your info right!

How do we know it is coming to Verizon? Everywhere I have looked don't show Verizon CDMA frequencies. I hope it does come to Verizon. I am ready for an upgrade. I am not trying to put what you are saying down, I just couldn't find where it is coming to VZW. I have been trying to confirm it.

These are the network Specs. I have found... Network – HSPA/WCDMA: Europe/Asia: 900/2100 MHz Upload speed of up to 2 Mbps and download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz (Band frequency, HSPA availability, and data speed are operator dependent.)

yeah.. I think Verizon will get a version of the Desire/Bravo and it will be the Incredible. I could be way off though, I dunno. I guess we will know more tomorrow. It would be nice if something for Verizon was announced this week at MWC. I hope VZW gets a ballin' phone like this soon.

Technically the Desire is a GSM handest, so this, technically, isn't going to Verizon. It's a completely different handset than what we saw w/ the Incredible, even if they have similar innards.

the bravo/desire is the HTC GSM variant of the Nexus One. The Incredible is the CDMA variant of the Nexus one. Both are very similar phones, they are just ment for different carriers.

Not actually sure what the name is, but as I have built chipsets for the device. Verizon will be getting it's own version of the Desire for they're network. Not sure on the name yet though as when I was visiting they're bellvue, Wa office I could not get much out of them. But looks like the device should have an April launch, which is basically a Nexus One with more memory, and Sense UI. We'll find out soon I guess once they settle on a name. Current Droids on Verizon will be moved downscale, and what confirms this is Verizon started BOGOing both droids as of today. Probably to move inventory, then once other Droid devices launch bring them in at the current price points. As of today you can now buy a Moto Droid and get another Motorola Droid for free. Not just the Eris anymore. I'll post back here if I get more info about the device.

I'm drooling over that desire I hope @sinfulta is right an a version does come to Sprint. I'd pass on the legend simply because I have a hero and the lag kills me the next sense UI enabled phone I get hopefully has a 1Gz on board. Or maybe 2.1 clears up that problem.

i HIGHLY doubt the HTC Desire will come to Verizon. Verizon is already set to get the Nexus 1, which basically has the exact same features. if Verizon gets the phone it would be complete overkill. a more likely candidate will be AT&T all the other providers already have or plan on releasing major HTC phones (Supersonic,Nexus,HD2). and lets not forget that AT&T promised to carry some HTC handsets! although the Legend is great phone the specs hardly compare to the other new superphones that HTC has created. At&T needs a big popular overthetop smart phone from HTC and the Desire is likely it.

The Desire won't come to Verizon. Instead they will most likely get the Incredible. The Incredible will probably be a version of this phone. The Nexus One is only going to be available through Google. Verizon will want something they can sell in store (the Incredible). The Incredible will differ, just like the Desire, from the Nexus One with the Sense UI and new features like the friend stream app and being able to pinch and zoom on the home screen (they called it leap at the press event) and whatnot. During HTC's live press conference it was quoted, "A record number of mobile operators have confirmed to launch our new devices. HTC Desire has been accepted by almost every key carrier in every key country we work with. I'd like to welcome back Peter." That pretty much means the Desire or a version of the Desire will be out for most (if not all) the major service providers in most (if not all) the major countries. I think everyone is going to get some type of HTC love with this phone or versions of this phone. The Nexus One is old news now. You have to remember the Nexus One is GOOGLE'S phone made by HTC. The Desire (and incredible and future HTC phones) are HTC'S phones. The Nexus One made its splash and now everyone is moving on... That is until the Nexus 2 comes out!

I'm hoping with Verizon's new BOGO deal starting today they are trying to clear out some stock for upcoming phones... And I don't mean the devour. Hopefully the Incredible!

jonyth. VZW will get the incredible along with the nexus one. The desire/bravo will be going to Tmobile more than likely and maybe ATT. The phone in this pictures is the European variant, not the ATT variant. HTC and Google both have a strong partnership with Tmobile and release many phones with them. Id be suprized if somehow Tmobile got skipped for this phone. The Nexus one isnt sold IN STORES, its sold THROUGH GOOGLE, and therefor is not going to affect sales of the desire/incredible/bravo.
