So here it is, finally, the HTC DROID DNA! A brand new "phablet" for all the diehard gadget-lovers out there who just can't get enough screen. Immediately after the introduction, one crucial question comes to our mind; a question that has to do with this device's ultimate rival - the Galaxy Note II...

I gotta say, droid DNA is a great phone. Superb quality, specification and design. But what makes note 2 stands out from the rest is its s-pen. That what makes me like note 2 from s3.

Droid DNA's rival for sure is the upcoming sIV. It's like one X and s3 all over again. :)

droid DNA is great but why htc always pack a small battery to their phone? a great phone is nothing when the battery is out.

true that. I think the battery can't cope up with that display and processing power.

I have given up on HTC for this exact reason. They are too ignorant to realize that they NEED to put bigger batteries in their phones, especially a phone of such size with a 1080p screen. Failing company.

Absolutely, the lack of battery juice is going to hinder this device. As some of us may already know, a few months ago I had the Rezound, while it is a GREAT phone and I do prefer HTC Sense, the battery sucks ballz. I bought the extended 2750 mAh OEM battery and it turned the phone into a solid brick. And, even though I have humongous hands, I still prefer a slender phone; no chunk in the trunk, as they say.

So, now I've got the updated RAZR MAXX on ICS but, ICS doesn't play well with Motoblur (smoother on stock GB).

........waiting desperately for the morning of November 29th, so I can walk into VZW and buy the G-Note 2!!

Thats one hell on a big battery !
Why dont you use something like a external battery pack ?
I mean the big battery on the Rezound wont be useable on any other phone but i bet the external battery pack still can be used to charge your Mazz or even note 2

Dude I am so sorry but this phone HAD such potential. HTC is like the lab rat that keeps shocking itself over & over.

This phone would have been GREAT if it had a 2500mAh battery & if it had a MicroSD card slot. Without those 2 SIMPLE things this phone goes from a Wow to a meh in a matter of seconds.

A phone of that high quality should never have a 2020mAh batter & no MicroSD card slot. It's like buying the most beautiful $4000.00 platinum ring & putting a 3 carat cubic zirconia.

Man what an utter disappointment. Now I see why HTC is in the dumps lately.

I totally agree!! It's like they're pulling an Apple and in two months they'll introduce the DNA-X².

What a true shame??

With those two things, I'd be waiting outside Best Buy to open to buy this phone off contract. Without them, I may still buy it, but I will for sure still be disappointed, as I am now. So much promise to fall short.....

If you had pre-ordered the Note II, you might have something to celebrate - I just checked my pre-order status and ship date has been moved up to 11/19.... Guess who is a happy camper?

You won't be disappointed. Best phone I've ever owned. Well worth the $300. Battery life is great on this baby.

I told everyone Verizon was moving up that damn date; this is going to force me to get up early on Monday the 19th, forego the rest of my PaPiBeauTi' Sleep, and head to Verizon. Thanks Doug E'!

The trick to any device's succes is the user experience which culminates not only from great hardware but capable software optimization that are able to leverage the power of the hardware specs.
Note 2 has the S-Pen and Sammy has raised its game by differentiating its software with the addition of nearly 40 subtle new features that you'll begin to miss if you change from an S3 or a NOTE 2!
I love HTC and I love HTC Droid DNA but this looks more like a beefed up phone to me rather than a true phablet

I won't say the DNA can compete with the "REAL" (modders) market until I see an unlocked bootloader.... the fact that it's HTC (bootloader nazis) makes me lean toward the note 2 because they've already released the source. Sorry HTC, maybe when you hop on board the train I'll follow.

I have a Note one at 2500mah battery is way to small. Once LTE is engaged I am lucky for 8-10 hours of moderate usage. Use it for many calls and you are out of luck quickly.

The Screen on the DNA is very nice but Battery may be an issue. Now if they had the promoted set up like the HTC 8X with a 5 core for low battery draw then it might help on life and use of a smaller battery.

I agree completely with all the comments. The battery life seems to be feeble compared to the Note 2 and especially with those high end specs and large screen hmm... No. Definitely Note 2 for me.
HTC's design is really nice though.

this is 50-50 competition..both are the best..

droid dna :

design - build quality - less Weight - display - slightly better camera - better size(for me) - linkpack better slightly - Best UI

Note 2 :

s pen - SD card sotarage - better internal memory - better battery - S voice

finaly if pick u up each phone u will have new experiment of ultimate features.

That makes loads of sense considering you haven't ever seen the droid DNA, or ever used it, or know what it can do :P

you bashed his comment without comprehending it properly, he said, he THINKS.

What's the use of this poll anyway if you imply what you've just said?
