HTC 8X beats the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S III in SunSpider browser test
0. phoneArena posted on 30 Oct 2012, 03:39
This goes to show that with the IE optimizations in Windows Phone 8, and the dual-core Snapdragon S4 processors, the WP8 flagships are up with the best for browsing - if you don't come across an Adobe Flash-laden site you need to check out, of course, but this holds true for iOS, too, and with the latest iterations of Android as well...

6805 to 914 within a year is a great feat. now if only they bring IE 10 to windows 7

And no wonder coming from a Windows site the have "forgotten" to mention that IE10 has been fully optimized for that test and it's performing terribly in ANY OTHER test.
Here is the original source of the news (AnandTech) showing all the tests and not only the one that favours windows...

Daniel, please check your sources a bit before posting, that one was clearly a graph coming from AnandTech, at least you could have checked the original site.

Windows Phone is flawed in my opinion. Less than iOS but more than Android's later iterations (4.0 onwards). It's pretty clean, slick and really fast. It's also pretty simplistic and live tiles are a bold step in some direction, only time will tell if it's right. They're still not as robust, not nearly as customizable and even less varied than androids widgets. The lack of a live wallpaper is also a gripe, let alone a regular wallpaper. Not a deal breaker, but it's also unreasonable having one, but microsoft could do a little more out-of-the-box thinking here. The app selection is also pretty limited and yeah that doesn't sound like an issue since 46 out of the top 50 apps are on the windows store, just another minor gripe. The thing is, Android doesn't have any of those issues, which would only make me wonder why anyone would get a windows phone right now when another android phone does all of the above.

Whoa...hold your horses!!
We're talking about Windows and IE here...not HTC!
God knows the 920 will have the same readings or even better knowing that they have the same hardware.

Yup, because other benchmark results aren't that good. Maybe Nokia's would be better?

1. Sorry, Anandtech updated the marks.
8X beats GS3 only, not together with iPhone 5.
2. In other tests, 8X eats dusts.
3. Why bother to mention "beats both iphone 5 and GS3"?
These 2 phones are not even close.
