Now that's a great price for a new smartphone, considering the features, build quality and performance of the Lumia 521. At this pricing, it also makes for a pretty nice back-up phone...for those who already splurged for a flagship.

Spoken like a true idiot...

WP8 does have less apps than Android, but is also x10 more secure.

name some please? Sometimes 3rd party apps are better than first party. Instance is a great example, it's much better than the original instagram app

ignore that troll...he's one of these who keep repeating that wp has no apps even though it's more than enough. One, sole, invalid argument.

The app thing is overrated when you're talking about entry level smartphones. Think about most of the entry level android phones, would you want to play games or do anything on them besides text and talk. No. So the app thing does not apply here.

Well yes apps do get overrated. Wp has all that I need. But I wouldn't say devices that are entry or mid range are only good for talk and text. I don't game really but apps are great on my 620 & the camera etc.. I would have picked this up had they included a camera flash.

"the most anticipated phone about to hit the market," ...

I'm thinking they exaggerated juuuust a little bit. No one was really waiting for this phone to one out, it was more of a pleasant surprise for those looking for a cheap phone with a decent user experience.

for an andro-beggar like you it wasn't but for the reasonable people who seek affordable and high quality phone, it is.

I wonder how much more it really would have drove up the price if they would have included a camera flash.? Unlocked 620 I got works great! I am in a refarmed area so gets the quick speeds no problem. I didn't even have to change any apn settings for mms or anything. Just popped in sim & was good to go.
