0. phoneArena posted on 09 Mar 2011, 14:47

Previously, we’ve seen them already bring it down to as low as $30 with a contract, but it didn’t take them long to bring it to a new level that everyone would be content about it. Precisely, they’re now selling the Palm Pre 2 for the 2-year contract price of free...

Sorry to say this Palm...but...you should have thought about the newer, better phone that will be released in just a couple months. No one will buy this unless they want a cheaper smart phone :P

Too little, too late. There are just too many other more exciting options to the Pre 2. Including the Pre 3 which is supposed to be released 3Q2011. Why anyone would sign-up for a 2 year contract with an already obsolete handset is beyond me.

There are a lot of people that walk into a carriers store and think the person helping them will tell the truth and do what is best for the customer. I have two friends that are not technology enthusiasts and therefore are not up to date with what is new or the "best". One just bought an ipad and the other recently signed a contract to get a palm pixi plus (idiot). Both informed me of their purchase wherein I informed them of their outdated choice in gear. Unfortunately there are sheep that follow companies, sheep that follow "experts", and there are other people that will truly get what they need. I could easily see getting this phone if it will be compatible with the upcoming Web-OS computer concept. Any questions; please send them to phonearena.
