I bet HP is still recovering from the extreme failure of the HP WebOS tablet. They are nervous about those "finicky" SoCs. I just hope this isn't a bad decision for them.

Arm should be used on phones only.

You know Apple is taking over the world with their tabs and here it is these loser PC oems are upset and worried about MS's Surface. You know at least MS came up with a product that has quality written all over it, while the oems make cheap plastic stuff sold at high prices.

You definitely have a point in respect to the other OEMs. They most likely would have released some less attractive cheaper products. This is why what MS did was brilliant. It will hopefully force other OEMs to be inventive and produce some high quality devices. Because unlike Nokia and HTC all other OEMs have been thus far luke warm to jump on board the new Windows applications. Time will tell if MS made the right move and if the other OEMs will really embrace the new Windows aka Metro.
