Now this is the danger being brought by hiring ex-Microsoft employees. Companies such as Nokia and HP (and in the past up until now - Yahoo, Novell and VMWare) already are suffering the consequences of hiring staff from the evil empire.

For instance, Nokia's current CEO Stephen Elop (a former Microsoft head of Microsoft Office line of products) has already killed MeeGo OS which is based on Linux. And now it is HP's turn. WebOS, as we know it, is also based on Linux. And no doubt, Microsoft did such thing as "Entryism" at HP to kill WebOS. Yes, Microsoft is evil. They will kill every competitor supporting Linux.
Let's all hope Samsung doesn't get targetted for their Bada OS (which is based on Linux kernel) or Intel for holding on with MeeGo. And also Google, which HAS and WILL ALWAYS BE Microsoft's biggest challenge because of its Android OS based on Linux, too.

Hope Nokia and HP will survive and their board understand the dangers of appointing executives from Microsoft.

In short, Microsoft is currently doing an INDUSTRY-WIDE HIJACK.
Warning!

Palm had a bizzilion loyal legacy users that could have and wanted to move to WebOS but were purposely frozen out of WebOS simply because palm didn't let them sync up easily with ten years worth of data. Rather they forced them to the cloud which was a half-assed transition. How in hell did they decide to orphan all the user base for some half assed attempt to emulate iOS. Dumbs**t move by underemployed MBA bean counters. Meanwhile folks like me are buying up Treos on ebay because theres nothing like a Treo for daily business use.
