I thought HP is abandon webOS for good by not wasting any more money it.

I wonder if they are thinking beyond smartphones from the sound of that statement. WeBOS was fun. But I see very few scenarios where it becomes relevant in mobile again. They need a manufacturer willing to roll with it, and developers willing to roll the dice on it. Unless they pump Microsoft/WP types money into it, or Google style aggressiveness into it, ain't gonna happen.

What a waste.
