Always on the prowl, especially when just about every place is selling the HP TouchPad for $99.99, one of readers noticed that the webOS powered tablet is going to be featured in Staple’s upcoming sales flyer for the week starting on September 4th...

Either have them in stock for $99 or take it off your flyer! :)

That is because the ads are created 3 weeks in advance, probably before the whole breakdown happened. Besides no store has had them in the last week so i would suggest not getting excited over it.

yea I highly doubt they actually have stock when even HP doesn't. Staples participated in the original firewall, I know because I waited in line and was 4 people away from getting one when they sold out. I would bet this ad was made before the firesale.

These things are printed ahead so that newspapers can put them in on a specified Sunday. There's always some disclaimer about errors and availability. The only chance for one at the reduced price at this point is from the remainder run that HP is doing to use up components, purportedly available at the end of October. And apparently those will be one-to-a-customer and I'm guessing likely to go first to those whose orders were canceled after being placed, or who signed up on the HP website. I'm in the latter category, so I'm not holding my breath.

Also in Tiger Direct printed flyer, same deal. Full retail and zero chance they have any.

I bought 3 from Amazon.com with a price of $234.00 each before labor day. And since then I never saw the rice went down to the amount I purchased it. It selling like pan cakes....
