HP Slate 21 is a 21.5" Android 'tablet' all-in-one powered by Tegra 4

0. phoneArena 24 Jun 2013, 06:03 posted on

Android's potential to run on anything larger than 10" has rarely been exploited, but the newly-announced HP Slate 21 aims to remedy that and really takes us by surprise. As you can guess, the all-in-one/"tablet" hybrid sports a large 21.5" touchscreen display...

Only minor players ATM are willing to take the ''risk'' with the Tegra 4? LOL

Perhaps Nvidia should minimize this ''overpromising and under delivering'' thing, then maybe...just maybe, they could attract more OEM customers

They are Not as good as they think they are....The mobile space clearly doesn't belong to them

I would like you to elaborate how it under delivers if it is not out yet?

But i agree that this is a huge fiasco, Tegra 4 should have been launched at Q1 this year, now it will face Qualcomm's S800 which will be tough competition.

But i do hope they keep their promises and release Tegra 5 by the beginning of next year with a Kepler GPU which could boost significantly Tegra's GPU performance.

I think he means that NVIDIA charges for new drivers every time they go to a new android version making it so that non popular phones never get updates (eg vast majority of first generation tegra devices and many second generation devices too)

Prefer the Ativ Q, Android and W8, Haswell architecture, 3 times the pixels, convertible design although likely sporting a horribly price tag.

tegra once again missed out. If they could have made them in sufficient quantities asap they would have taken an early lead but as usual nvidia cant produce enough and by the time they come out qualcom will will own the market. Nvidia just needs to go to tegra 5 instead use tegra 4 for gaming tablets and devices and trump qualcom so in Q1 2014 tegra 6 can eat the next qualcoms up (though rumors are AMD is now about to enter the arena..)

they shouldn't go in so aggressively on Android so soon or the lack of sales may really burn them from using the platform much. i'd really like to have their 10.1" tablet myself.
