The RAM upgrades are nice, so is a shiny new SSD or hard drive (packing some serious storage, I’ll admit), but the really exciting part is the upcoming release of the full NVIDIA ION platform in the Mini 311. ION is a netbook platform that combines the ubiquitous (but not fantastic) Atom processor with the GeForce 9400M chipset from NVIDIA. In short, it’s a netbook sized processor that could potentially have some pretty great graphics acceleration. Netbooks have long suffered from a lack of a decent video card, so this could be an incredible boost for the HP Mini 311. http://www.onlinenotebook.com/hp-mini-311-review.html
