since i sell these aircards all day everyday i know for a fact 5gb is more than enough for MOST people. maybe not you fanboys suck. perhaps if you laid off the redtube and constant adult oriented downloads it would be enough for you too...just a suggestion

yikes! Well, that's a grand suggestion :) No, but seriously, I have customers who return Air Cards because they went way over on usage, and that sucks for everyone. You are right though, 5 gigs would work for most people. I suppose if people downloaded Porn or redtube (a term I am not familiar with) all day long, then they would exceed 5 Gigs... overages suck!

Of course, typical of a VZW store rep, because when the customer comes back in screaming because 5 GB's is barely even enough to cover checking emails, what do you do? "Call customer service, they'll credit your overages back."

Get real guys, i'v only owned HP all my life, and familiar with their products. I also work for VZW, and all I can say is you can't compare this guy to normal laptops, because it's not suppose to be a NOTEbook it's suppose to be a NETbook, meaning it's built for internet surfing and THATS ALL. It doens't even play DVD's or fast enough to multi-task different programs.

Exactly, and for VZWEMP & allaboutvzw no, you can't find a LAPTOP for $450, but a netbook? Easily, from Acer, HP, Asus, any of them, you'd be able to find one of their mini notebooks or netbooks for around that price. I was expecting $99.99, which would've been a great deal, and would've been the smartest pricing, but as usual, VZW sees green and wants to see if it can squeeze a little extra out of it. Now, if you're dumb enough to go buying your computer at Best Buy, or somewhere like that, no you won't find a laptop for anywhere under $600, because the markup in retail stores is astronomical, especially Best Buy and the late Circuit City. If you want to find a good deal, you go to NewEgg, and you'll find exactly that kind of pricing. To say that this is a savings of $200 just because the up front price is $250 is dumb, because if I buy a laptop from anywhere, let's say it's $500, just to round up, that's an extra $250. Well, with VZW's, I have to sign up for a 2-year agreement at $59.99/month, so after 2 years, that's $1439.76. That vast majority of people, and I mean VAST, are not going to use a mobile broadband service for many years, so that's $1200 that I wouldn't have spent otherwise, because all I would use it for is Wi-Fi, just like any other netbook. The average consumer has no use for mobile broadband, business customers sure, but according to VZW's trainings, it thinks that average consumers will be interested in this as well. Plus, 5 GB's is enough for a regular person? WTF? Yeah, if you only check your emails all month, NO ATTACHMENTS! I'm sure store reps think that's the case, but when I get the calls in customer service from a customer who was told 5 GB is "practically unlimited," and they're looking at a $1,000 bill from overages... I guess 5 GB's isn't that much after all.

You can find laptops for under $600.00 at Best Buy. Did you even visit the website before you posted? I just found 18 of them at Best Buy. .

And if your reading ability matched your apparent eagerness to run your mouth, you would've noticed that absolutely nothing I said was directed at you, nor do I have any idea who you are or know anything you've posted. I honestly don't care if you were talking about laptops, but I was referring to VZWEMP's assertion that this is a good deal. Whatever it is you're talking about, laptops, netbooks, it has no bearing on me, and I don't care. So, with that said, before you go butting into a conversation, think of whether it has absolutely anything to do with you first.

Your a dumbass for saying this next statement which was why I commented towards you in the first place. "Now, if you're dumb enough to go buying your computer at Best Buy, or somewhere like that, no you won't find a laptop for anywhere under $600, because the markup in retail stores is astronomical, especially Best Buy and the late Circuit City." Go to there website and you will find them. Also I wasnt running my mouth. So go be a badass somewhere else. If you dont care at all. Why did you reply to my comment? If you didnt care you would have not commented. Now if your true to your word of not caring what I have to say, you will not reply to this comment.
