Unless you’re a high profiled musician, you’ll need to rely on something more humbling when it comes to recording music. Well, it’s not to say that great music can’t be concocted from your own garage, especially after seeing what the Foo Fighters accomplished, but you might find one of Griffin’s new accessories for the iPad to aid in the process of putting something spectacular together.

Today, Griffin’s StudioConnect for the iPad is now available for purchase, thus, giving those up and coming musicians the opportunity of mixing music together all on the go. Not only does it act as a pedestal stand for the iPad, while juicing it up, but there are also a variety of audio and MIDI recording ports in the rear to happily accept connections from your musical instruments. Meanwhile, there’s a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack right smacked right in the front with its own volume knob, which glows in a nice blue color, that helps you keep focus on what’s being recorded.

Naturally, you’ll need to use mixing apps, like GarageBand, to properly make good use out of the StudioConnect. Aspiring musicians will no doubt appreciate this all-in-one solution that enables them to connect a variety of instruments to it, without the worry of having to fork over huge loads of cash for things like a dedicated recording studio of some sort. So what’s the damage you ask? Well, the Griffin StudioConnect can be purchased for $149.99 through Griffin’s web site right now.
