I hope somewhere in the future Google will make like a genetically modified tree that can act as a WiFI signal extender so we have internet everywhere and the environment will be better.

I think that is what they're trying to do with the balloons instead. You can genetically modify a tree but wait for said tree to grow enough to be a good enough antenna might take too long. In places with lots of tall trees like most of Canada, finding a way to convert trees into antennae (already shown possible) might work.
