Google's Place Pages feature makes its way to mobile
Always finding new features to make the mobile experience a bit easier for everyone, Google has gone on ahead and released the popular Place Pages feature for mobile. Essentially it offers useful information about certain businesses that's optimized for a mobile phone – such as information about the hours of operation or reviews about the place. Not only does it allow you to read about some common places locally on the go, but the optimized mobile view offers users links to useful web sites and can click the map button to instantly jump into a full screen dynamic map. We've all experienced how difficult it can be trying to read about your favorite restaurant when the page makes it difficult to navigate, but Place Pages for mobile is your one stop shop before traversing to an actual business. Currently the feature can be accessed on the iPhone and Android smartphones – no word yet if other platforms will see this any time soon.
