Gimme gimme gimme!

Although I will probably just pick up the 16gb anyways depending on the price difference... I don't really see a need for that much internal storage if I can just use Google Music.

$50 price difference, maybe... but if it's $100 I will be rockin 16gb!

2. tacohunter posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:23 1 5

So, there isn't an 64gb option?

7. protozeloz posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:41 3

So far no. But if you like to hack your phone im happy to say you can plug USB drives to it for extra storage

3. HTCiscool posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:23 1 2

Yay! but just out of interest does it have a SD card slot? sorry if this is a dumb question

4. tacohunter posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:26 1 4

9. Skyrim posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:47 2

Hey earlier you said that they have figured out how to increase the screen resolution of samsung galaxy s2 to match the screen of the nexus is this true?

11. protozeloz posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:55 1 1

Doubt it. Screen resolution is not something you can control since it's hardware. Not software

6. protozeloz posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:36

No SD bud. This is going to be my next phone anyways

12. iamcc posted on 22 Nov 2011, 12:02

No it does not have expandable memory.

5. android1234 posted on 22 Nov 2011, 11:29

No sd, all internal.

So how future-proof have we determined the Galaxy Nexus to be? It seems silly to pay 300 more than the other phones to get a phone that will only be on the top for a few months... but if it dominates for a year as some people predict, then it should be quite worth it.

Remixfa?

15. KingKurogiii posted on 22 Nov 2011, 13:01 4

this Nexus is by all means future proof. you get a pure Google experience running on one of the most powerful processors in the game right now, it has 4G LTE and it has an HDSA display.

18. cnoevl21 posted on 22 Nov 2011, 15:15 3

It's as future proof as you're going to get. To be honest, "future proof" can really only be whether or not it is 4g LTE capable or not. It is impossible for it to be the "top" phone for an entire year. New devices with better specs come out once a month it seems like. For example, the Razr was the "top" phone for a week before the Rezound came out with better specs, and when the Nexus comes out, it will have the best specs. In a few months the quad core phones will start coming out. By the end of next year we will have quad core phones with 15mp cams, and maybe even 1080p resolution displays (this one may take a little longer than a year). Your lucky if you have the "top" phone for 3-4 months. If only upgrades were every year instead of every 2. What they should do is offer phones at the "discount" rate regardless of how far into your contract you are, just as long as from that point you re-up for another 2 years, because its rare you are going to find a phone that will be relevant for 2 years. Hell, I'm still using the TP2, which was "top of the line" 2 YEARS AGO, and completely irrelevant by todays standards.

20. KingKurogiii posted on 22 Nov 2011, 16:06 6

the Rezound doesn't have better specs than the Razr. they're DIFFERENT specs but not necessarily better. xD

27. RORYREVOLUTION posted on 22 Nov 2011, 21:42 3

The only thing that the Rezound has better of is screen resolution than the Droid RAZR and that is hardly noticable. Besides I\'ll take the SUPER AMOLED over Super LCD any day.

Not to mention I doubt the Rezound will get ICS anytime soon while the RAZR is already made for it. Same processor as the Galaxy Nexus and Motorola obviously is BFF\'s with Google now. Besides the RAZR has way better build quality than the Rozound and I doubt it has GGlass so it won\'t be able to take a hit.

Both devices are good but you will get overall better performance with the RAZR and overall usage. IMO the RAZR is the best android phone to date and once it gets ICS it will be better than the Galaxy Nexus.

28. KingKurogiii posted on 22 Nov 2011, 22:29 3

yeah, totally agree bro.

33. RORYREVOLUTION posted on 23 Nov 2011, 00:38 2

I ordered mine for one freaking penny on amazon wireless. I can't wait to get the RAZR. Original RAZR was my first phone I owned. Droid was my first android phone I owned. Epic combo at a great deal

34. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 01:22

it was fate! o:

35. McLTE posted on 23 Nov 2011, 10:02

The Razr COULD have been the best phone once it gets ICS..

The big nock against it is that it doesn't have the new benchmark high resolution screen.

If the Razr had the same screen as the rezound, I don't think I'd have been able to hold off waiting for the PRIME.

I was so sick of the internal storage drive on my HTC Incredible while I had the phone. I hated how most 3rd-party mp3 player programs did not recognize my music at all, nor any of the cover art, simply because they only utilized SD card storage, which I had a small amount of on that phone. This lack of access to internal storage also applied to apps that read videos, photos, etc. My Incredible 2 no longer uses internal storage, so everything is all fine and dandy, but I'm wondering whether this issue will somehow be corrected on this Nexus.

Different companies - but we can only hope....KEEP HOPE ALIVE!

23. belovedson posted on 22 Nov 2011, 17:51

it took me two minutes to find an app to run flac? im not sure what your talking about

36. gomulkaaa posted on 24 Nov 2011, 00:00

belovedson- Did you own the HTC Incredible specifically? The issue was that most third-party (non-stock) apps somehow didn't have access to that 'emmc' folder where the phone's internal storage was located. Most .mp3 player apps did not read data from this folder and only detected music specifically on the SD card. I suppose this issue may have pertained only to the HTC Incredible, in which case I'm glad that it hasn't been a problem since that model.

17. LCpl_vinny posted on 22 Nov 2011, 14:53

That's a bit of relief...I have 32gb in my current phone and I have 7.52GB available I think between apps, photos, spotify (200ish songs), movies and television shows and all my school / job work I keep, edit and transfer to and from my phone and I haven't quit jumped onto the cloud bandwagon. I'm one of those people that need all the space I can get because I dislike having to carry and keep track of multiple storage devices.

19. cnoevl21 posted on 22 Nov 2011, 15:20

I'm hoping there will be a way to connect to all your computer files remotely like how the Razr or iphone does, this way you don't have to put any music or video files directly on your phone and can save a butt load of storage space.

21. gallitoking posted on 22 Nov 2011, 16:32 7

typical fandroids.... most of you will get the 16gb... so quit the crying for more...

22. KingKurogiii posted on 22 Nov 2011, 16:36 1 1

what would you get gallito? 16GB or 32GB? c:

30. gallitoking posted on 23 Nov 2011, 00:17

31. KingKurogiii posted on 23 Nov 2011, 00:20

haha, okay guy.

24. belovedson posted on 22 Nov 2011, 17:52 2

29. nickjjay posted on 23 Nov 2011, 00:02

As it should be. It looks like its gonna be better than the iPhone and look at all the publicity it got.

32. netizen posted on 23 Nov 2011, 00:32

All of this is moot if they don't lanch the dang phone! Heck, these specs are already beginning to look OUTDATED, and the release date STILL hasn't been announced!!

This is a great lesson on how to KILL a phone launch... I am sure Samsung/Google/Verizon have already lost thousands, if not 10's of thousands of sales for this device by delaying it so long.
This reminds us all TOO MUCH of the Bionic launch, only in that case they spent the time upgrading the phone, so when it launched, it WAS the most powerful device available.
That's NOT happening here... the specs are STAYING THE SAME, meaning the phone is quickly becoming more and more OUTDATED, as the days, weeks and months have gone by with a "Failure to Launch".

This is the most disappointing Nexus launch ever!!
