lol This will be the article of the day for sure. I am very happy that Android is keeping its steady growth. Now Google can breathe a little easier because they got those 17,000+ patents from Motorola. Extra protection from the ultimate patent troll can’t hurt at all. (We shall keep this troll name less) The future looks great & Ice Cream Sandwich is right around the corner, what else can you ask for! For desert after lunch today, I will treat myself to an Ice Cream Sandwich. (I haven't had one of those for years!)

Symbian is probably grouped under "other," yes, because it takes up such a puny US market share. T-Mobile is the only major carrier left that has a Symbian phone, and it's a joke that nobody wants to sell.

the nokia astound? lol. symbian sucks. nice camera on the thing though. takes perty pictures. we go out of our way to not sell it to most people. nuthin wrong with it but everyone that buys one realises they want apps and trades it for an android phone.. so why go through the trouble? lol

I have had a serious look at the GS2 when it came out.
And no it is not only the touchwiz i like about bada.
One thing i like about bada is that it is soo fast. My wave with bada has a 1 Ghz hummingbird, and the GS2 has a dual core 1.2 Ghz exynos. Still, when i have tried both of these phones my wave is faster and has faster response than the GS2.
And i like the UI on bada better tha on the GS2. Yes bada's UI is very similar to the GS2's UI, but there are some differences in bada that i like better. Also there are only quality apps for bada (about 6100 apps for bada), in comparison to Android where 2/3 of the apps are only low quality fart apps.

thats because bada is a simplified OS with 1/5th the features of android. features come at a price. thats why apple is so slow to adopt because their biggest concern is asthetics. they dont want it to be anything less than buttery smooth... but u lose a lot of functionality for that.

personally id rather have the functionality over eye candy.

That's not true.
It does not have Android, but just because it doesn't have Android, doesn't mean that bada is a feature OS.
bada is a OS, and does not need Android : )
And definitely bada is not a experiment, Samsung will be releasing at least one "Something big is coming" wave phone with bada 1 september. So Samsung is not using this as an experiment.

Android domination is only on market share... not in sales... Sniggly, last time i mention about my life. so that wouldnt be as an excuse... what made me stick with Apple was fandroids... and the same excuse, widgets, live wall paper, specs, market share, flash, nobody cares about any of them, at least I dont, how do I know, sales.., just watch and how the iphone 5 will sell,, it would amaze me too.. trust me... But you don't understand that market share IS representative of sales, just across an entire platform. Individual models don't sell as well as iPhones, but cumulatively they have iOS outclassed in the smartphone market. You also don't understand that Windows Phone 7 doesn't even have Mango yet, an update that has been promised for almost a year. Android at least gets its updates out on a quicker timetable than that, even with carrier/manufacturer delays.

It's fine if you like Apple and WP7, but for crying out loud, you're getting as aggressively insulting as you accuse "fandroids" of being.
