And let the comment war begin. Go ahead, let's blast each other over Big Brother-I mean Apple, the half baked OS, perjury offenses, outdated hardware, sheep, fanboys, lemmings, hippies, etc. etc. etc.
There, I've had the entire discussion for all of you. Now maybe can we post something new?

lol This will be the article of the day for sure. I am very happy that Android is keeping its steady growth. Now Google can breathe a little easier because they got those 17,000+ patents from Motorola. Extra protection from the ultimate patent troll can’t hurt at all. (We shall keep this troll name less) The future looks great & Ice Cream Sandwich is right around the corner, what else can you ask for! For desert after lunch today, I will treat myself to an Ice Cream Sandwich. (I haven't had one of those for years!)

Amen Sniggly...iOS and Android are growing, Blackberry is falling off the map, Win Phone 7 is struggling to compete and WebOS is soon to disintegrate.
Onward and upward

It doesn't show Android eating into the iOS share at all. Shows that both are growing at RIM's loss.
28. darth8ball (Posts: 519; Member since: 02 Aug 2011)
Yeah Apple took 7% of the other OS losses while Android took 19% that is how I would look at it.
36. Lucas777 (Posts: 2137; Member since: 06 Jan 2011)
haha retard... he said they both grew...

And where is symbian and bada ???
Is that the "other" OSes ?
7. Sniggly (Posts: 7220; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Symbian is probably grouped under "other," yes, because it takes up such a puny US market share. T-Mobile is the only major carrier left that has a Symbian phone, and it's a joke that nobody wants to sell.
Feeling better, Peter?
15. remixfa (Posts: 14251; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
the nokia astound? lol. symbian sucks. nice camera on the thing though. takes perty pictures. we go out of our way to not sell it to most people. nuthin wrong with it but everyone that buys one realises they want apps and trades it for an android phone.. so why go through the trouble? lol
23. Sniggly (Posts: 7220; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Like I said, a joke that nobody wants to sell. ;)
17. The_Miz (Posts: 1496; Member since: 06 Apr 2011)
Symbian is a joke, but less of a joke than Faildroid.
31. htc (unregistered)
Yeah but still a less joke than crapple
Huh I wonder why apple goes very well with bad words
75. PeterIfromsweden (Posts: 1230; Member since: 03 Aug 2011)
Miz, Symbian is not a joke, but personally i think it is alot better than Android.
6. remixfa (Posts: 14251; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
there is no BADA in the US peter.. good lord.. LOL.
i was hoping to make a bada joke before u got on the board, but you beat me!! lol
What i find surprising.. and its because i keep forgetting.. is how many old windows sets still sit in the marketplace. cant wait for them to be erased from the market.. lol
16. remixfa (Posts: 14251; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
Peter, u need to buy a touch wiz enhanced android phone. its probably 90% of all the things u like about bada.. but on a real OS :)
76. PeterIfromsweden (Posts: 1230; Member since: 03 Aug 2011)
I have had a serious look at the GS2 when it came out.
And no it is not only the touchwiz i like about bada.
One thing i like about bada is that it is soo fast. My wave with bada has a 1 Ghz hummingbird, and the GS2 has a dual core 1.2 Ghz exynos. Still, when i have tried both of these phones my wave is faster and has faster response than the GS2.
And i like the UI on bada better tha on the GS2. Yes bada's UI is very similar to the GS2's UI, but there are some differences in bada that i like better. Also there are only quality apps for bada (about 6100 apps for bada), in comparison to Android where 2/3 of the apps are only low quality fart apps.
79. remixfa (Posts: 14251; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
thats because bada is a simplified OS with 1/5th the features of android. features come at a price. thats why apple is so slow to adopt because their biggest concern is asthetics. they dont want it to be anything less than buttery smooth... but u lose a lot of functionality for that.
personally id rather have the functionality over eye candy.

android dominating, as usual,
oh and peter, i agree Bada is good, but it is like samsung's feature phones, its just Touchwiz UI,without the android.
it's just an experiment, and probably will never be as popular/good as android.
no offense, but i'm just making a point ;)
77. PeterIfromsweden (Posts: 1230; Member since: 03 Aug 2011)
That's not true.
It does not have Android, but just because it doesn't have Android, doesn't mean that bada is a feature OS.
bada is a OS, and does not need Android : )
And definitely bada is not a experiment, Samsung will be releasing at least one "Something big is coming" wave phone with bada 1 september. So Samsung is not using this as an experiment.

25. xenover (Posts: 174; Member since: 27 May 2011)
Apple's 7 % vs Android's 19 %
Android has grown almost 3 times faster than Apple.
29. darth8ball (Posts: 519; Member since: 02 Aug 2011)
three times would be 21% Sniggly, check your math
30. Sniggly (Posts: 7220; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
You're right. I'm wrong. Thanks for correcting me. I wasn't paying enough attention. My apologies, xenover.

i knew he was gonna say something sooner or later thank u miz we can all ways count on you hahaha
34. gallitoking (Posts: 4693; Member since: 17 May 2011)
story time..... 60 percent of the american homes still have the regular TV's. vs the flat screens and other.... but if you go to Best buy, you dont see those TVs,...... you see the flat screens. as you can see market share means nothing if the other guy is beating you in sales....
37. Sniggly (Posts: 7220; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Your analogy would make sense if Android wasn't still being sold EVERYWHERE.
Seems the iChip has fused completely with your brain. Or are you still using your (finished) custody battle as an excuse?
Or maybe this is sarcasm? Too hard to tell. Since you used to be reasonable, I might have to call Poe's law, Gallito.
38. gallitoking (Posts: 4693; Member since: 17 May 2011)
Android domination is only on market share... not in sales... Sniggly, last time i mention about my life. so that wouldnt be as an excuse... what made me stick with Apple was fandroids... and the same excuse, widgets, live wall paper, specs, market share, flash, nobody cares about any of them, at least I dont, how do I know, sales.., just watch and how the iphone 5 will sell,, it would amaze me too.. trust me... I am reasonable, I am not speaking out of context, just like nothing will convince you to like Apple... same here. buddy, but I am not blind about Apple Windows 7 phones are better and better, you know why?... they do their own thing, they dont depend on Apple released dates, they take their time.. they dont care about being the first with 4g, they will released when they are ready .. just like Apple...Windows dont rush things just to compete with Apple like android, and thats why Windows will succeed, see I am not blind.... or in denial,
40. Sniggly (Posts: 7220; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
But you don't understand that market share IS representative of sales, just across an entire platform. Individual models don't sell as well as iPhones, but cumulatively they have iOS outclassed in the smartphone market. You also don't understand that Windows Phone 7 doesn't even have Mango yet, an update that has been promised for almost a year. Android at least gets its updates out on a quicker timetable than that, even with carrier/manufacturer delays.
It's fine if you like Apple and WP7, but for crying out loud, you're getting as aggressively insulting as you accuse "fandroids" of being.

When i read the articles and see all the dumb comments most people make... I get on a groove and joined, but I dont come with nonsense when they respond to my post, thats all, I like to think, U fight fire with fire...
53. Sniggly (Posts: 7220; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
So the dumb comments by Apple supporters don't bother you, but the dumb comments by *some* Android supporters do?
43. The_Miz (Posts: 1496; Member since: 06 Apr 2011)
And sniggles said he wasn't angry about Gallito choosing the iPhone. Lol, talk about bitterness.
66. wassup (Posts: 565; Member since: 23 Jun 2011)
meh, they're ok... better than iSheep so....
I f**kING LOVE TURTLES :)
39. darth8ball (Posts: 519; Member since: 02 Aug 2011)
So the flat screens are winning in sales? And the picture tubes represent market share in your story?
