Google puts ICS update for the Nexus S on hold

Google has paused in their roll out of ICS to Nexus S handsets, as they "monitor feedback" to see what issues may crop up from the initial batch of updates...

dreamer lol, first 4.0.3(the base) has to release, then manufacturers have to add their s**t on it, then it goes in for carrier testing, bug testings, then carriers make sure their bloatware works on it, then releases it when its ready as long as another flagship phone is releasing near that timeframe

I was an early adopter. I like the new ICS interface mostly. There are alot of issues (at least for me), some things seem alot faster, but my phone slows down at random times. Also some apps may not work with ICS yet (HyperJump,Moboplayer just got updated). The new task switcher has more recently viewed apps which may contribute to the slowdown at times (right now there are 15 apps in my history). My battery does seem to be running out faster, but that could just be because i've been playing those 10cent apps nonstop.
I'm not liking the loss of options with the removal of longpress. For instance longpressing on the homescreen only brings up the wallpaper change option, the automated brightness also doesn't work properly.
Thinks I wish they'd change:
Contacts - bring back the black backgroup, the white just looks wierd
Email app - should have the group email accounts as the initial view, like in gingerbread
Gallery app - There's no way to organize the folders by date, time, size etc. In gingerbread I could have hidden any naughty pics/videos I had from initially being seen as soon as the app was opened by arranging the photos by date.
Icons - I hate this futuristic icon BS they're using. I don't like having no clue what an icon represents, it would be nice if there were some text to go along with them...
Bring back the longpress options or at least show them when the menu button is pressed.

Really dunno how they do the validation before they release the product to Market
Why GOOGLE and SAMSUNG Never learn in the past.
Their hardware is incredible but firmware is suck!!!

So fo so good.. The bluetooth and 3G radio activation-deactivation has bugs. I have to restart the phone to use bluetooth again if I have used it earlier. It doesn't work properly. The backlight is dimmed. It doesn't work with most of the apps. The data usage functionality has bugs.
Overall the update is buggy but the effects are pretty smooth.

Very Happy with the update! It's much faster and smoother on the home screen. The new widgets are awesome by the way, only don't like the YouTube one because you can't read the video names, they're cut off.
Also... SOOO many more features for developers, and there are too many awesome features to list and talk about now so...
Only 1 problem that sticks out to me...
Contact names sometimes are not working correctly on Caller ID.
I got a phone call yesterday from a friend who calls often, and his name didn't show that time, just a phone number.
Then again, it could have just been a tiny glitch with sync or something, ...even though I had set it up 2 days ago, and made several other calls.
P.S. that never happened on 2.3, and has only happened once so far on 4.0.3
