Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy the hell is Google making a voice-controlled assistant????? Jesus!!!! Siri is so effff'ing lame. It's just smoke and mirrors. I love Google, but this is just plain dumb.

If Siri sucks, isn't it logical to for Google to try and make a better product?

Because Siri is getting a lot of attention? As a result of the attention, Siri is sucking some of the oxygen out of the room. Majel is a response. Best case, Majel does a better job than Siri....

And worst case, Majel will still do better than Siri.

Sir is really good it recognises more words than i believe any voice recogni.tion including google search. I think by making it more practical with the option to turn off the reaction from a crappy ai and just have it do what you say but have the ability to interact but also open source it so third party apps can use it as pary of there programing to make some cool aps like a solitare aponint that tals back to you in a game you can use that in lots of areas and concepts. Some times in public places you dont or cant speak instructions so along with somthing like smart actions where depending on where you are words or key words have different meanings and do differeny actions. I hope and exspect that google will make somthing that will be way better than siri jyst because it will be more open and usable
