I don't have any of them but was thinking about trying Ancestry. I'd also have put Nova Launcher in the list because it brings those subtle tweaks to the UI that are missing in stock vanilla, like continuous scrolling of the desktop.

i'm about to get my nexus 4 in a week..can you suggest a useful launcher apart from stock vanilla?

Evernote
Falcon Pro
Pocket
Flipboard
AirDroid
Solid Explorer
AdFree = must have for rooted phones!

I made a better list than Google!

agree. You should move also solid Explorer up in the list imho.

I hope you had a little explenation for every app. some of them I know. but grims snow white? what did make that special? Isnt there a ton of grims tales in play store?
I unfortunatly, dont know half of these apps...

Bleh those apps are ok, but "best"... Try this one, streetquest - run is a game, this is app that i can easily call best :)

they put pixlr express but not their own snapseed. both are good but they seems less confident with what they bought. snapseed give more advance editing I never experience before. should replace the game app.

Evernote is really the only app I would consider the "best" from the list. Add Dropbox, Waze, and Last Pass and we're getting closer.

No Flipboard? I agree with Pocket being in the list though. It's very useful.

I think it's a bit presumptuous to declare one definitive list. A quick glance at the other comments shows everyone has their own personal favorites and must-haves.
For example, there isn't a "Top-10" or "Must-Have" list that doesn't include Evernote. It's the best app in the world that I NEVER use. It's simply taking up space on my devices.
On the other hand, the humle little Google Reader app will always have a shortcut on my Home screen; as much as I try to get into the fancy flipping animations of Flipboard, I find I get every news feed I want in one easily scrollable list in Google Reader.

I hear you there. Flipboard looks great, but as far as functionality it is terrible. Showing only 2 stories per page, and having to flip them, is REALLY REALLY annoying. The aestetic is great but the practicality is awful.

So when apple announced there top apps 2012 did they include google maps because we all know that got downloaded loads as apple maps where a disaster lol or did that just not show google maps

I'm going to try out Pixlr Express. Need something to edit my pictures on my phone. Downloading it now cause it have nice reviews and good stars. At least I don't have to deal with the over rated Instagram

I love pixlr express. really simple easy tool for anyone to use. many features. friendly user interface. best photo editing app on android in my opinion. Snapseed would come second for me.
