"Everything you save will be monitored by Google" I really hope Google tries to convince us security is worth sacrificing for comfort.

Google doesn't even try very hard any more to come up with good lies on how some invasive data grab is really for an individual's good.

yeah screw this, bookmarks are fine the way they are. google have been riding the change for the sake of change bandwagon for a while now and it's getting annoying.

I have Pocket on my phone, tablet and PC. I gotta say that I don't really use it at all. Bookmarks might be old-fashioned, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Well in my case, I have pocket in my notebook and phone, and use it to read articles I've save when on Wi-Fi, after my data plan has reached its limit.

"...so you can discover 'patterns' in your content..." Uh, right, it's only to benefit the user. Makes sense, coming from a company that only cares about selling more ads based on your data. It's Apple's "Reading List" with a side of data mining.

"It would be an expansion of what happens when you tap the star icon in Chrome. Rather than just saving the link, Google Stars would automatically generate tags for the content and organize it, so you can "discover patterns" in your content."

Since this exactly how I use Google bookmarks....I dont see what all the fuss is about....

Only difference is I have to make the tags myself. I would probably still wanna do some tags myself, depending on whats auto generated...
