Google lowers the upgrade price of the Nexus One
It’s no surprise right now that Google is in learning process as it continues to evolve after the launch of the Nexus One. Sure there have been some rocky moments since the Mountain View based company took wind of their prized handset – such as problems relating to 3G connections and unsatisfactory device support for the phone. In light of all the negative press surrounding them, they’ve recently stepped in the correct direction by dropping the upgrade price of the handset to $279 starting today. For those who purchased the phone prior to January 14, they will be issued a $100 refund, or the difference between the $379 and $279 pricing – they can expect the refund within 14 business days. As for those not fully aware of the news, existing owners who are eligible to receive the refund will be notified of the change starting tomorrow. Who can’t use an extra $100 in their pockets now?
