The Google Pixel is a phenomenal phone. It offers an excellent build, unique design, incredible performance, and the best version of the Android OS that we've seen yet. When Google took the wraps off of the Pixel back in October, the company made a big deal about how DxOMark rated the camera on the Pixel as the best camera to ever be present in a smartphone. The Pixel certainly is capable of taking some rather gorgeous photos, but owners of Google's latest smartphone have recently been reporting major issues that they're experiencing while using the camera.
Just what kind of issues are customers having? Numerous reports have popped up of the camera app completely freezing and showcasing pink and purple lines all over the screen for no discernible reason. This isn't good news at all for Pixel owners, but on the bright side, the issue appears to be something that can be fixed completely with a software update.
A spokesperson for Google recently talked with MobileSyrup about this issue and said the following -
The Pixel team is aware of the reports and actively working on a solution to the issue. We’ll update you as soon as we have more information.
Google has yet to announce exact details as to what's actually causing this issue, but as it continues to persist, some users have discovered that the camera begins to freak out when the phone is in an area with a poor cellular connection. Turning on airplane mode has been reported to work as a temporary fix, but hopefully we won't have to wait too terribly long for Google to get to the bottom of the issue and permanently resolve it once and for all.
