I agree, seeing Apple and Google go head to head on even playing fields will be very interesting and fun to watch!

WP7 FTW

It's just a normal Monday. Companies are either suing each other or buying each other lol

Sanjay Jackass is happy about this. Bailed his failing company out. Is there any innovation that may come out of this? Probably not. Can't compete with the other android oem big boys. They should have stuck to their own, let MS buy their patents and add wp7 to their portfolio. Now they just have google android to manufacture. How will they compete? Can't because they cant diversify now. In the while, the other big oems will be selling great android and wp7 like hotcakes and google will keep shedding money to save moto.

Really great move Google is doing. Although, I hope that doesnt get in the way of making Windows phones or feature phones if they ever do. If it does. It doesnt matter. ANDROID ALL THE WAY!

Lol. It took the whole day for Taco to calm down enough to act apathetic here. ;)

Apple could've easily bought Motorola and slapped Android in the face lol. Hell under Apple, Motorola would be better off since their phones are garbage imo.

Apple doesn't need to prove that Samsung is a lying company that pirates off someone else's ideas

well is time for me to leave Moto and be on the Apple team ful time.. so long Moto it was nice but citing with Google and delaying the Bionic.... I am done.. off the bandwagon...

133. Sniggly posted on 16 Aug 2011, 14:42 1

Buh bye. "siding with Google." Lol. Are you kidding me? Seriously, Gallito, you've become very irrational with your more recent posts.

134. gallitoking posted on 16 Aug 2011, 15:07 1

first thanks for correcting me... i am only irrational to those who cant see what they want to see.... you made a decision and nothing and no one will make you thing otherwise, I know ther has been some hating on me lately, but the irony of this is that Android community is irraciational. ( sorry I stole this word)..... if PA reports Apple should die. all you applaud, but if PA states Apple is the number one company in the world, you get up in arms, going back to , you only hear what you want to hear... in my opinion my ipad2 works wonder.. keeps my blood levels at normal.. but my Droid X ever since the upgrade is making me have premature wrinkles, with all the forceclosing and the auto restarts, and I know is Android as when I was without Android, never had any issues, maybe I am blind , but I am a simple man with simple needs, Apple is the way for me, gave Android a change, I truly did, waited for the Bionic, nothing happened, now they betray us by siding with Google, i felt betray,

135. Sniggly posted on 16 Aug 2011, 16:11 1 2

I wasn't trying to correct you, I was trying to wrap my head around this concept that "siding with Google" was any significant change in Motorola's position from where they've been since about 2008. Android saved Motorola from the junk pile; prior to Android Moto was trying to pawn its mobile phone division off on anyone willing to take a look at it. So if Google offers to buy Motorola, which is effectively giving it a safety net while it works its way back to profitability, why the f**k shouldn't Moto take the offer?

141. iHateCrapple posted on 16 Aug 2011, 18:08

gallitoking-
Don't side with the evil empire man. I understand your pains with Android, I own a Droid 2 Global and, yes, it's a piece of sh*t! But I think you should try WP7 before you completely offer up your soul. And research Windows 8...what they plan to do with that is amazing! Phone, tablet and desktops all working together seamlessly and wirelessly! I can't wait!

137. The_Miz posted on 16 Aug 2011, 16:14 1 2

It's his opinion, he can side with whomever he pleases, Sniggles. Motorola is one of the worst manufacturers.

136. The_Miz posted on 16 Aug 2011, 16:13 3

That's right, join the side of the force where quality over quantity is important

149. darth8ball posted on 17 Aug 2011, 20:10

Oh yeah because the company that uses outdated technology, puts out a phone that cuts its users off then blames the user citing they are "holding" it wrong, and boasts nothing other then the number of units sold as proof that it is the best phone is my definition of quality over quantity....NOOOOOOOOOOT

144. ohmywrd8 posted on 17 Aug 2011, 10:25

This is awesome! Hopefully this will result in us seeing improvements in Motorola's software and hardware (which is already pretty good but room for improvement). Having all the patents will help everyone too so it will work out.

153. Striker (unregistered) posted on 20 Aug 2011, 14:53

Really, really sad news for Moto. It used to be one of my favourite brands, but since they chose android and especially now...that is the end of Motorola!

154. Al-Kataki (unregistered) posted on 20 Aug 2011, 15:04

Another good attempt by Google from been attack by the Company who like to sue their competitors for survivor of their company and phones , Apple. USA is the unilateral country after the Soviet falls. So as Apple who want to be the Monopoly ( only one brand ). Remember Apple what happened to your company during the 80's where you have been beaten by IBM.....
