Google announces registration date and price for I/O 2013

Last year attendees got a Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, and a Nexus Q. I assume this year they will get the successor to the Nexus 10, maybe a successor to the Nexus Q (if they make one) or another product, and a Nexus 4. That should easily bury the cost of a ticket, and plus you get to watch a nice presentation :)

And yes, I say Nexus 4 because they probably won't announce the new Nexus phone at this event; expect that in Q3/early Q4.

Agreed with this here. You're basically buying googles products and you get to see whats coming up as well so it's a win win! I just wish i could go....

Definitely a Nexus 10 as a giveaway, maybe a Nexus 4 or Moto X, and also either a Chromebook or a Google TV device would be my guess. Probably not the Pixel though, and I'd say Nexus 4 is much more likely than Moto X.

Pixel is 1300 for a 300-900 ticket. Lol. I would say almost zero chance that happens. Peeps going shouldn't expect anything though.

I seriously doubt the Moto X will be announced at Google I/O, or at least they won't have it ready for launch. Sniggly's description of the X given by his source, and the fact that Motorola just posted a job listing for product manager of the X phone last month point to it being in very early stages of development. We probably won't see it until late Q2 or Q3.

Google might make a comment on it however, probably just saying it's in the early stages of development and talk about some of the issues they're addressing with it.

I was thinking the same thing. I think the answer is developer. Not sure though. My other questions is where is this. Also if it sells out so fast can you resell the tickets for more on ebay lol. If academic was college student I would def buy a ticket just to resell it for 900. Easy 600 lol. Highly doubt it though.

Google isn't going to let you resell, hence the purpose of Google Wallet and Google+ account.
Academic Attendees are college students and faculties, Proof of enrollment or employment at the institution is required for Google's approval.

So you're telling me I can get in for 300 make a fake g+ account and resell the ticket? Or most likely get a bunch of stuff for only 300, Then resell it for profit!!! Where is this thing?
