very nice price point. I would get my wife one but that Netbook I got her last year barely gets used these days. She used it a lot when I first got it for her because she used it to skype with me and such when she went to the UK for a few weeks, but this year she's barely used it, only uses it to read fanfiction in bed, and she uses my Playbook tablet more for that.
As for myself, the tablet and phone suit my needs on the go. When Im at home I have the main desktop PC and my HTPC to play with.

Don't get this, a tablet might as well fit your needs better and your wife's , yeah chrome OS could be nice, but I kinda disliked acer , and honestly for reading, 7" device might be the best for her I love my nexus 7 for reading and I've lived laptopless for nearly a month ( I own one for work but won't use it for entertaining mysef anymore)

these chromeboks are actually beautiful!! but still hoping that google will now merge its android OS to chrome OS!! and still hoping that chrome OS isnt a browser OS!!! hope the merging of android and chrome OS will make it work like Windows or macs or ubuntu OS
