Google acquires Zagat

Looking for a good place to eat while on the go? Thanks to Google's acquisition of Zagat, you will be able to use Google Search to check out Zagat's ratings of restaurants to find a high rated place to eat; the price of the purchase was not disclosed, but the company previously was asking for $200 million...

Should make a great combo. Google offers "free" zagat ratings, gets ad revenues etc.

This is an excellent move by Google and their location based aspirations. There’s no doubt Zagat stood as an industry standard, and has moved into the future very well. Established and ready to go.
