There is a lingering perception that Android tablets have no apps available for them. This is incorrect, and Google wants to prove it. The company has already been promoting apps that have been optimized for tablets; but, Google is going to take the next step in the Google Play store to give apps designed for tablets better visibility to users...

Only a few apps that I've encountered these past few months look horrid on my N7. Good Guy Google for making these improvements.

Which apps look horrid?
Because I haven't seen one yet...

Craigslist from YYH Creative is absolutely terrible. Dropbox also needs to be updated since the security pin screen only takes up 20% of the screen, which is really annoying.
Now mobile apps, are perfect. No complaints about that.

I couldn't agree with you more. I own a Xperia Tablet Z and most apps I use on my tablet that I use on the smartphone looks unpleasing.

Thank you Google! Finally they're making a serious push to get apps developed for tablets. I bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 for my dad this year and was incredibly let down by the ridiculously small number of apps designed for tablets. WAY too many Android apps masquerade as tablet apps when they are in fact complete garbage.
Hopefully this kicks more than a few developers in the ass.
