Google Play Store now allows all developers to reply to user reviews

0. phoneArena 13 May 2013, 12:38 posted on

Bad user reviews are the bane of every developer's existence. There is always a solid number of negative reviews that are completely reasonable, but there are also always a fair number of bad reviews that are simply misplaced tech support issues, or just plain trolling. Now, whatever the reason, all developers can reply to reviews in the Play Store...

Like everytime...there will always be pros and cons in everything that is open.
Devs will take the opportunity to clarify, while rash/rude users will always downsize.

this is great except for the fact the devs. get all the user info so there might be some future security issues when people are getting visits from an angry dev. or the dev. exposing persons personal info somewhere else. it'll happen .. you'll see.

news feed will read " angry dev. drives from cali. to maine in a daiper so he doesn't have to make stop and attempted to etc. "

Reminds me of the Lumia 920 reviews on the verge and gsm arena lol.. To this day the former has never scored ant Windows based product (be it phone, tablet, or laptop/ultrabook) anything higher than a 7.8)

The Verge review scores for Windows products:

Toshiba Kirabook 7.3
Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 6.8
Nokia Lumia 720 review 7.0
HP Spectre XT 6.8
The Razer Edge 7.3
Samsung Ativ Odyssey 6.0
Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 7.4
Asus Taichi review 5.6
Microsoft Surface Pro 7.5
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7.6
HP Envy x2 7.2
Samsung Ativ S 7.8
HTC WP 8S 7.0
Lenovo ThinkPad Twist 6.9
Nokia Lumia 820 7.0
Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 7.7
HP Envy TouchSmart Ultra' 6.6
Nokia Lumia 920 7.9
HTC WP 8X 7.8

I'd encourage anyone that likes Windows products to seriously think about avoiding that site. Phone Arena is much better when it comes to product reviews.
