Google Offers arrives at five new locations, brings in half off burgers and steaks

Google Offers, which is one of the key components to enjoy Google Wallet - Mountain View's mobile payment service - is expanding.

After making a debut in Portland, and subsequently being lit up in New York, San Francisco, Austin, D.C., Denver and Seattle, the service is now live in Charlotte, Kansas City, Milwaukee, San Antonio and Tampa. For some reason, the initial offers for the five new cities seem to mostly amount to half off burgers and steak, so hit it up if you are in the mood.

That's quite a few major cities, although Google Offers has a lot to do until it catches up with Groupon's outreach. Even if your phone is not an NFC-equipped darling of the Nexus type to take advantage of mobile checkout, you can still peruse Google Offers as a regular app on your Android handset, and hunt those deals available for your city, or install Google Shopper for iOS, where the deals are incorporated for the iPhone users.
