Google Listen has been discontinued

We've known for a while now that Google doesn't really care too much about podcasts, and today we got another bit of evidence to prove it as the company has officially discontinued its lone podcast app, Google Listen, which had been mostly ignored anyway...

Ah damn. And I really enjoy this app. It was barebones, and had its quirks (such as not always showing up in the notification bar or stopping suddenly ;) ) but it was nice, straightforward, and it worked.

Any suggestions?

That's a real shame. I think this is one of the better podcast options on Android at the moment. As much as I like Stitcher, I find there are some bugs in there that make it difficult to use at times and TuneIn has a long way to go for listening to podcasts (live radio is great on it though)
